“Great if you can take the heat”
This is a great location for folks doing business in South Calgary. If you've rented a car, there's easy access to Deerfoot Trail, Mcleod Trail, and Southland Drive. If you're going green, it's a five minute walk to the LRT. My room had a fridge and microwave, the bed and pillows were comfortable, the room clean and decor reasonably current. The one caveat I have is that the heat is centrally controlled and if you like it cool for sleeping, that might be a problem. Be sure to ask for the part of the building with in-room controllable temperature if this is important to you. The staff are great and are clearly working to a quality improvement agenda. When I mentioned the temperature issue, I received an apology and an offer of a complimentary meal. I will stay here again.
“"Can't wait to go back"”
Everythin So great !
“Totally impressed!”
From the moment my 90 year old mother and I checked in we were treated royaly. The staff in the Atrium where we stayed could not do enough to make sure we had what we needed We had breakfast in our room every day - the staff were prompt and pleasant -the food was always very good. We had a handicapped room and it was just perfect for my mother. I would certainly recommend this hotel and would definately stay there again.
“Everything is good, however...”
This is the second time we've stayed at this hotel and found it convenient, clean and comfortable. However, I noticed one of the towels I was about to use after showering had black marks on them, as if they've been used as a doorstop. I was disgusted by this. Good thing there are two more towels available but I had to check it thoroughly before using it. I informed the front desk about my observation and told them to be more careful in the future.
“Fine hotel”
Decent hotel in an OK location.
“Decent stay”
This was our second stay at Delta Calgary South and a little better than I remembered it to be. There was a huge wedding going on the day/night we stayed, and that was really the only trouble with the place (like drunk people running down the hallway at 2am). I don't see this as being an ongoing issue, and it was isolated to this one instance. The limited interaction with staff was great. When checking in, I was offered a free upgrade on my 2 queen room to a deluxe 1 king room. The conversation went a little like this: "Delta counter attendant - Do you need the 2 queens? Me: No, not really! A single king would be fine as well. DCA: Ok, I will check and see if we have a room available. We would like to save the 2 queens for guests with family. Me: sounds good to me!" In the end, there wasn't any availability, but the foresight to shift my wife and I around like that was quite nice to see. Would go again.
“Will return for sure!”
Great hotel....great location....friendly staff.....great price.....great food....and I could go on and on. Can't comment on even one fault....an overall excellent experience.
“Great Hotel”
I would gladly stay here again anytime.
“Our preferred place to stay in Calgary”
Friendly staff, great location, two pools, wonderful breakfast buffet... lots of reasons to go back there every time we're in town.
“Great hotel”
impressed anytime when stay
