We had an amazing stay at Awa. Keep in mind it's in a jungle setting and right on the beach, so the ocean roar is constant as is the sounds of the jungle. The room was amazing with an outdoor shower, and a very private deck to hang out in. The service was exceptional, Dinnier, Ricardo and the rest of the staff took amazing care of us, going above and beyond on a regular basis.

This beachfront property is nestled in the jungle with regular wild animal sightings like monkeys and sloths! The staff anticipated our every need and the room decor and layout was superior! This was a magical trip

The whole experience at the aWa Hotel was amazing. The only point I would make, regarding the facility, would be the Parking at the Hotel. Management had explained that they were working on trying to improve that access and ease for the customer to park their vehicles.

We can’t wait to go back!
This was our most favorite place to stay on our trip. Every little detail was thought of. The decor is gorgeous. The staff… love them all… the food delicious and top notch! The beds a dream, the ambiance delightful… just so cool! We saw sloths and monkeys right outside of our room. We wished we would have stayed longer. We can’t wait to go back! We felt the quality of this place is similar to what we have received at One & Only resorts but at a fraction of the price.

This place is magical. It truly is! Beautiful, quiet, best beach i’ve seen in CR. The people there are just so welcoming. The parking is the only not great part, but don’t let that stop you!! There always seems to be someone there to help you park. Wish i could give aWa 6 stars!

I absolutely loved my stay here. The staff was always cordial, helpful, and always willing to go above and beyond to make our experience better. The only thing that takes away from a perfect score is the food. The portions were small, and the food wasn’t great. They only include breakfast with your stay, and we tried different options each day. Yet even the food we purchased for lunch was subpar, and as mentioned, small in portion. We had to go into town for the majority of our meals (Tamara Restaurant is one of the best. The portions were great, and their food is *chef’s kiss*). Otherwise the entire resort is a dream!

The hotel was great. The staff was super nice and accomodating. Very clean and everyone was so helpful. I will recommend this place to all my friends and family!! Only "negative" if you can call it that, it was hard to find the place. No signs :(

Fantastic hotel on a beautiful beach. The staff was extraordinary. They were all very friendly and thoughtful about the needs of the guests. The restaurant was so good we ate there almost every night.

We loved our stay at aWa! The staff is so attentive and helpful. The food and drinks were delicious. Everything was always pristine and you can tell they take pride in caring for their property. Anything we needed or asked for, the staff was quick to take care of!

Wildlife all around, we were even awakened one night by monkeys on our roof! Gorgeous, private location on a mostly private beach. Cool surf towns with good shops and eateries close by. The staff were fantastic and thoughtful. Cell reception is intermittent, but WiFi was great for being so remote and staff were willing to help with any calls or arrangements that were needed. Would definitely return. Highly recommend flying into Limon - we drove from San Jose and while pretty, it’s a long and frustrating drive that can take anywhere from 4-7 hours depending on traffic and closures. Food and beverage on property was fantastic. Would have loved a pool as an alternative to the beach on some days as waves can be rough. Parking should be on an angle for easier access as it’s VERY tight. Those were the only little things I thought would improve this otherwise perfect spot. Even at this reasonable price, this spot and its staff totally beat the high end branded resort “competition” on the other side of the country.

The perfect place! So beautiful, secluded, and safe! The staff were so wonderful - so helpful and friendly! The room was spectacular… opened sliding glass wall directly into jungle within steps of ocean. Will definitely be back!

It was difficult to find especially at night and the parking was very difficult. Our room above the restarant was a bit noicey and very small. Fortunatly we were upgraded to a suite which was lovely. I would not reccoment the small rooms above the restarant. The staff were all very sweet and the food was great.
