Room smaller than expected. Facilities were good.

Pros: Facilities, service, staff.
Location: Enjoyed the walk to Byron Bay Lighthouse. Had an amazing meal experience at Targa Italian restaurant. A must eat there.
The hotel facilities and service was upto standard. But the room was too small and cramped.

Very ordinary in every way.

Posted 07-Aug-2014
Pros: It is in a good location just far enough away from the main drag but close enough to walk to everything.
Cons: Everything! Knock it down and start again.
Location: Good location, close to shops and booking centres and not too far from the beach.
There is definitely no cheap and cheerful experience to be had here. If this had been a pleasure trip or holiday I would have been extremely disappointed. Awful, tiny little room, pathetic TV reception, Foxtel guide in room but no Foxtel on the TV. The conversation from the neighbouring room could be heard very clearly at 3am as could the flushing of toilets and the running of taps. The parking for guests was absolutely hopeless. Altogether a dreary, cheerless place that will NEVER be contemplated EVER again, I would rather sleep on the beach or a park bench.

Affordable and simple.

Posted 20-Jul-2014
Pros: Expedia search
Cons: Size of the space. Kitchenette needed to be extended into the wardrobe area. Wardrobe was not big enough to make use of and would be better as kitchen
Location: Excellent eateries
Rooms are very compact but were very clean. Lovely linens and everything you needed was there. Because it was so small and we wanted a little bit more space having a child with us I would not stay there again. However if you are in byron bay for only a couple of nights and you don't intend on spending much time in your bedroom then it's perfect.

Close to town

Posted 08-Jul-2014
The room was very dark and cold, it had no appeal. The bed was quite hard and not very comfortable. If we had seen the room before we paid we woud have gone elswhere.

Close to the beach, shops and restaurants

Posted 08-Jul-2014
Pros: The location and the price
Cons: The bed wasn't very comfortable and the pillows were hard to sleep on
Location: The beach, the light house, shopping, views, multiple restaurants, bars and cafe's. Lots of tourist attractions within driving distance
We stayed here for a week and it was a very pleasant stay. Very clean room and friendly staff. The atmosphere was relaxed and it was quiet at night.

Friendly and Clean

Posted 01-Jun-2014
Pros: Very clean. Is quiet. Free parking. Very friendly staff. Free and stable wireless internet.
Cons: The carpets are a bit old, thus maybe can change it.
Location: Cape Byron Lighthouse. Beach.
Stayed here for 2D1N on the 28 May 2014. It was a great stay. Sorry, that I cannot remember hotel staff's name, but she is very friendly and offered different route information on getting to the lighthouse. Gave us information about the places to eat and encourage us to go to the beach for a walk. On the checking out day, she told us that there is a farmer's market nearby that we can visit to have our breakfast there! We were so happy as we love to see fresh food and fruits! Very comfortable to stay in as it is very clean. The wireless internet is free and stable. They also provide free parking for in house guest. As it is just slightly away from the town, the place is quiet for a peaceful rest. Is just a short walk to all the shops.

Nice hotel, close to town

Posted 15-May-2014
Pros: Air con, comfortable beds, tennis court, pool, spa & sauna
Cons: Make the spa heated & add a bath to the bathroom with improved bathroom amenities e.g. body lotion and conditioner.
Location: It is close to the town centre 5-10 minute walk and 10-15min walk to the beach
The Lord Byron is a 5 minute walk into the town centre, and 10-15 minute walk to the beach. It has good amenities & the rooms are clean and comfortable. The only downside is the spa does not seem to be heated, so isn't really useable unless on a very hot day.
