House was very large, bedrooms where spacious & bedding was clean & fresh, kitchen had lots of utensils & crockery but was short of forks, spoke to host & more was supplied quickly, location is fantastic, with lots of lovely walks, there are a few thing that could do with a bit of maintenance ie; a few door hinges need fixing

Family girls
Perfectly located large house-ideal for a very large party of family or friends, both adults and children. Free parking on the street. One bedroom on the ground floor so ideal for someone who can't get up the stairs. Plenty of crockery etc in the kitchen.

Brilliant house
It has been perfect to celebrate my daughters 50th with family, very clean and bright rooms , very well equipped. Walking distance to town. Only criticism was the shower pressure. Would recommend this property. Thank you Hayley perfect communication always responded to any questions we had immediately. Will be using VRBO in future

Big accommodation in small town
The 1 Tock house became our single house accommodation for a group of 14 adults and 2 children in a small town Buxton. There are areas of improvement in the property but in summary it was a pleasant stay. The landlady was very helpful answering any odd questions we had. The house is equipped with all amenities including wifi and even Alexa.

Excellent location nice bedrooms small kitchen/dinner/sitting room area .Playroom in basement cold/damp without natural light. Owner never answered second set of questions,not particularly considerate.We were even called on the check out day to be reminded to leave on time and clean the kitchen !

Hi Brian, I m pleased that you enjoyed Buxton and the bedrooms were to your satisfaction. I apologise if the communal areas were not as large as you had hoped, however we do feel that the photos shown with the property advert is a true representation of the size of the property, and also a reflection of the price of the rental. I appreciate there is only one small window in the basement, however it is very common for basements to have no natural light and therefore is cooler this is why we provide a few portable heaters in the property so that the room temperature can be boosted. I sincerely apologise I did not see the last email in regards to what property cleaning products etc are available, I did not mean for this to come across in considerately. I had answered previous questions in much length in detail in hope to help you with your trip. We do not call our guests during their stay as we do not want to disturb, however it is standard procedure for most rental properties to send a text message with check out information-we found that guests generally find this helpful. I apolgosie if this was not the case. Kind regards Rock House Owners.

Great house for a group
We are a group of four families. We had a great stay at Rock house. It had everything we needed and communication with Hayley was great re check in and small heating issue which was resolved. Recommend

We found numerous things that previous guests had left in most bedrooms, could have been cleaner
We had a great time but did find things in bedrooms which we thought was strange as cleaners didn’t remove them, not sure if they checked under the beds. The house could have been a little cleaner. Great location, but parking is a nightmare.

Fantastic family stay
The property is well equipped and allowed us to cook a Christmas dinner for 14 people. There were plenty of bedroom and bathrooms to accommodate us all and the location was perfect for getting into the town centre and enjoying the local park. Parking was also good and free too. The communal areas are smaller than I’d have preferred as we couldn’t all sit comfortably in the living room. However, the dining table was huge and sat us all down to dinner all at once so we stayed in there most of the time. The host is good and quickly solved a problem with the heating as we arrived. I would have liked to receive the lock code the day before arriving rather than on the day as I was at work and my other family members were arriving before me. This meant I had to keep an eye out for the details and send them on, whilst at work. This wasn’t ideal. Overall it was a very enjoyable stay and the house is comfortable, clean and a great place to stay for a few days. Many thanks!

Fantastic break
We were looking for somewhere to stay for my mums 70th birthday. We had 3 generations of family staying from 4mths to 70 years old and this house didn’t disappoint. There were 8 adults, 5 kids and a baby so I was worried about us stepping on each others toes but there was lots of room in the house and it was really well kitted out! It was comfortable, clean and homely with plenty of bathrooms too and the little ones were really well entertained in the converted basement. They had a pingpong table and also lots of toys and a tv/ DVD player with a good range of dvds which our kids loved! The kitchen had lots of everything and even some handy things like cooking oils, salt, pepper, cleaning stuff. They also had loads of glasses, plates, pans, utensils and a dishwasher. We did a bit of karaoke for my mums birthday and the living room was pretty soundproof which was really good too as usually have to tip toe about when the kids are in bed. Location wise, it is in a fantastic spot! We visited the cave which was only 10 mins walk and there is a go ape around there too. The park (pavilion gardens) is a few minutes down the road and is beautiful with peddle boats, a train, playground, fair rides and cafe! We spent a lot of time there. The town centre is also really close with fantastic pubs, restaurants and there was also a stree market there. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely return! We would thoroughly recommend :-)

Long weekend family get together
Excellent property with plenty of sleeping space, the only negatives I would say is the kitchen is a small space for large groups, and parking isn't the easiest, however we are not used to town living.

Fantastic house and location!! Recommend!
The house was amazing! Exactly how it looked in the pictures. It had loads of rooms and was so clean and well presented when we arrived. Hayley was helpful from pre booking to arrival and gave some great ideas of local attractions. It's so close to the main high street and there are loads of local pubs and restaurants. I would highly recommend!

A lovely property for a family event, especially when the weather is less warm as the games room etc. helped to keep everyone entertained! From ages 6-81 we very much enjoyed ourselves :)

Great time at Rock House
Overall very good, I really liked the basement games room with the table tennis table. Good sized dining room, that easily accommodated 10 guests. Good location, within easy access of town centre. The living room was a little on the small side, but overall we were very satisfied with the accommodation. Hayley was immensely helpful.
