"We stayed in the Mercantile and you can't beat the location for Nauvoo. The staff were great. We only took advantage of breakfast one day but it was very good. I would stay there again in future trips to Nauvoo."

"Nice and clean, I felt very secure knowing I have to use a badge just to get in the building. The continental breakfast was great! Ice machines available nearby. Even though the casino is connected limited hours even though I was told that it was recently purchased. As far as the casino I didn't sit and gamble. Even though I'm a former smoker there is a sign stating no cigar or pipe tobacco but I did see 4 people smoking cigarettes"

"The staff was very nice. The a/c worked great and the beds were comfortable. However: the property itself and cleanliness was terrible. The smoke-free hotel definitely smelled like smoke. Our toilet seat was broken and the ironing board leg was broke in 1/2. We were given another room. When my husband sat on the bed, it clunked loud. The head of the bed was then a little lower than the foot of the bed. The bathroom door hit the toilet when you opened the door. The toilet wobbled back and forth when you sat on it. There was a light bulb missing from a lamp. The counters at breakfast were dirty at 6:15 am. I would not recommend staying here."

"The room was very spacious and clean, the staff was really nice when I got there I was on the second floor and I hadn't seen the elevator so I asked if they had a room on the first floor they did, breakfast was good. Definitely would stay there again"
