“Basic, but good for the money”
This was a reasonable price, helpful staff and the room basic but clean. Breakfast was very basic and the eating area could have done with a steam clean but as I said, considering the price it was good.
“Satisfiedl. No complaints”
Although expensive because of parents weekend, all rooms were sold out, we enjoyed the comfort of the room especially the King size bed. Breakfast items were mediocre. Other than that, no complaints at all. Computer in the hotel office area was slow but no major problem.
“great location, tolerable because of the price.”
I've brought my kids to stay at this hotel several times over the past few years. It is in a great location to highways, scenic routes, local attractions and conveniences. The main reason for picking Days Inn was the price - cheaper than most of the other hotels in the area. Is it great? No. It is only moderately comfortable - the beds are a bit saggy and overall the hotel could use a bit of sprucing up. The staff is a bit lackluster. We arrived late, after a long and tiring drive north and there was nobody at the front desk. I waited for almost 15 minutes before someone showed up, commenting that there had been some problems with some of the rooms. Not a good sign. Once there, you really need to ask for the things you need, like enough towels, or if they could re-stock some of the beakfast items that have run out during the morning. The staff doesn't seem that attentive. Our room was clean, which is the most important thing to me, with children. In addition, there is a modest self-serve breakfast in the morning, which is convenient. I'll probably stay there again in the future, due to the price and location.
“Pretty good for the price”
Would stay there again.
“Staff great, room fair”
Staff very nice and helpful. The air conditioner was minimally effective, the knob was broken off to control if the vent was open to outside (humid!) air or circulating indoor air. The room was muggy, even with the AC on, so I suspect outside air was being drawn in. The AC was also EXTREMELY loud, circulating on/off in brief intervals, limiting the ability to hear the TV when awake, and to sleep soundly when trying to do so. The bed was uncomfortable and the pillows were very thick and hard. I woke up with my back and neck hurting. The room and the bathroom were very clean, and actually, when we walked into the room, it looked like a great place to stay. The room was really hot on arrival, though, and we came to find out that the AC wasn't very effective. The rest of the hotel was variable. They were having trouble with their AC in some common areas of the hotel, so a trip to the vending machines resulted in sweating, then walking back up to the lobby created chills. The staff were very nice. I checked that I would recommend this hotel to others -- it wasn't terrible, just not a very comfortable experience. We won't stay there again, but I can't say that it was so bad that no one should stay there. It was very clean, which is always reassuring. We just didn't have a very comfortable night.
“Bed of stones”
Quality, cleanliness and service were good, . . . Waking we felt like the we had barely survived the hurricane!!!! The bed was the worst night sleep we had ever had! - Also, the air conditioning blew directly in the face of the person closest, and the kids in the other bed were sweating!
“Comfortable room”
The room was clean and the bed very comfortable. Patio door from our 1st floor room was great to get to the pool. The pool very nicely kept and plenty of lounge chairs surronding the pool area. The grounds were also well kept and seemed to be a quiet area. Continental breakfast was good.. The only problem I had was that we reserved a fridge within our room and when we arrived after a 7 hour drive there was no fridge and nothing was done to accommadate us which was a little disappointing. We solved that ourselves by picking up a styrofoam cooler at the local K-mart.
“really good location !!!”
days inn are not a four star motel,,but this one was in a great location and had a really nice breakfast spread. the room was comfortable and the price was also pretty good.
“Smoke-Ridden Hell-Hole”
The entire hotels wreaks of cigarette smoke. The interior of the hotel is unkept. The beds were uncomfortable. There were stains on my blankets that looked like blood. Heater/Air Conditioner was broken, would only cool air and shook so bad I was afraid the paintings were going to fall off the wall. Flushing the toilet sounded like a 747 flying overhead. The vending area was a disaster, machines were broken/out of order. My suite was in the basement of the hotel and had a dark dank feel about it. As for the refrigerator it had a funky smell emanating from it much like someone had thrown some dead fish in there recently...all in all it was quite an adventure...*sigh*
“pleasant stay”
they were very nice people and helped me alot with directions and other things. the room was fine with the exception of the pillows. they were too flat. other than that , I had no complaints
