We had a great stay at the Lamb Inn. It’s a lovely little inn, very close to the main street. Good food, friendly helpful staff and very dog friendly (extremely accommodating of our little puppy). Lovely room, lots of space. Would definitely recommend.

Laid Back Luxury
A very relaxing one night stay-over, in a cosy traditional room and excellent facilities, with a lovely modern bathroom and everything you would need - especially the 'Molton Brown' hand wash, lotion and shower gels. The Inn has log fires in the comfortable lounges and the food here is very tasty and offers good value for a great choice if classic dishes. All staff were helpful and very attentive during our stay. We would certainly return again in the future.

A jewel of a place in the heart of Burford.
Our second visit to The Lamb Inn, this time recently opened again after the Covid closure. We felt very safe staying here and as usual the staff couldn’t have been more helpful. A wonderful place to stay. We’ll be back!

Lovely location with a rustic, traditional feel. The food was excellent and the staff were friendly and helpful. An excellent base for exploring The Cotswolds.

Wonderful winter break
The hotel is wonderful. A welcome trip to the Cotswolds for a wedding and the hotel did everything to make our stay a good one.

A lovely little place.
My partner and I were at the Lamb Inn for a wedding in Burford. It is a lovely little place, very comfortable and quiet. The staff were very accommodating when I arrived late in the evening. The room was pleasant

I had a bit of a problem with payment of bill at Lamb Hotel. When I showed them voucher when arriving girl at counter said she was new not sure what to do with it I show her I had pre-paid with breakfast dinner But when I left this morning she presented me with a five hundred pound bill I showed her the voucher she had no idea what to do with it Finally she call the manager who said voucher was not theirs But finally said they hadn’t got the money from Expedia She then changed the bill to 48.80 for the bottle wine I brought for driver plus 2 diet cokes and tax If manager had not been there I would have had a problem First night there they try to seat me at a corner table behind a door in a large empty dining room when they seated two other couple in a lovely alcove facing the garden I refused to sit there and ask to sit in alcove at an empty table the waiter was quite annoyed in the next hour I was there no one else came into dinner The hotel and my room was beautiful but I would not recommend anyone else going there It’s the first time I ever had treatment like this and I have stayed in a lot of hotels It was if Expedia had nothing to do with them. I just would not like this to happen to anyone else not nice at counter having a problem re payment Don’t worry Anne as u know I’m more than capable of looking after myself and wouldn’t let them get away with it. But I felt if u were a less forceful Person the manager may have not let u leave till I pay it.

Poor value for money.
We were greeted on arrival by a man who said it wasn’t his job to check us in. He phoned for someone else and had a debate on the phone. Then said he’d start to book us in. A lady arrived who did check us in. No-one said welcome! We were then upgraded but the room wasn’t great - on the front of the hotel - very noisy and too hot. We called for a fan and requested the very hot towel rail was turned off - it was a hot sunny day! The wallpaper was falling off the wall - we reported that too - it was obvious it had been falling off the wall for a while. We didn’t eat in that evening. Breakfast was ok. Only on road parking.

It is a very charming hotel, with serious amounts of charm and character. It's hard to fault the experience, and I would love to go again to further explore the Cotswolds.

Lamb hotel @ Burford
Lovely setting in burford . Had to change room as heating did not work. Bed was not comfortable. Service excellent, meal we had in restaurant was very good and all the staff were very helpful and friendly. Need to update rooms .

We have stayed before in this delightful Inn. Oozing charm, warmth and comfort, its a real treat. Food was good. The only issue was the bathroom - needs a bit of an update and attention to maintenance. The loo roll holder was loose, the shower head ineffectual and general decor needed sprucing up.

Oodles of charm and history......
A wonderfully quaint old building with oodles of character and charm. Good decor with nice fabrics and pure cotton bedding and towels. Lovely Molton Brown toiletries and a good selection of teas including a coffee pod machine with decaf coffee too. Friendly staff, mostly from the eastern block but some training and supervision needed in housekeeping for the newer members. The restaurant food was good quality with a good selection at breakfast too. Fab marmalade! Our room was nice and quiet.
