Relax with your family in the Bude Sea Pool and enjoy water sports on the ocean. Sign up for a lesson with a local surf school or try kayaking, sea fishing and climbing. Head to Crooklets Beach for more surfing and sports. Watch the Bude Surf Life Saving Clubhouse members give lifesaving demonstrations on Tuesday evenings in the summer.
Visit one of the arts and crafts centers and purchase a souvenir. Participate in a range of fun workshops. Learn bone carving, create artworks from glass or make your own ceramic kitchenware. Shop at the independent boutiques and eat lunch at one of the town’s cafés.
Find one of the numerous historic towns and villages outside of Bude. By car it’s 11 miles (17.7 kilometres) south to Crackington Haven. Head to this quaint coastal village and relax in the tea rooms or pub or head into the countryside to spot wildlife and wild flowers. Morwenstow is about 12 miles (19 kilometres) north of Bude. See heritage attractions and watch the sun set from the cliffs. Keep a look out and maybe even spot a seal or two.
Bude has no train station, but reach it easily by car, coach or cab. Select from many options for accommodation. Stay at a luxury hotel with a sea view or in a self-catering cottage.
