Spotlessly clean, and well equipped kitchen. Tea, milk, coffee and little treat were welcome touches. Characterful and quirky, access to the orangery was nice, and would be perfect in the spring and summer for pre dinner drinks or sitting quietly with a book. (We went in damp cold October, so we didnt fulfil that ambition!). Lovely and quiet, and perfect location for visiting surrounding area. Nick our host was very helpful and interesting about the history,
Ive dropped a couple of points, for the following reasons, but they didnt really bother us, so Ive probably been a bit harsh, and I dont mean to be, we really liked it here...
1. The shower has a very loud pump which grinds away while you're having your shower. Shower pressure is a little low, so great if you're an eco showerer, not so great if you want a waterfall!
2. Wallpaper peeling in one place in bedroom - bit of pritt stick would fix this quickly.
3. Storage heaters and plenty of electric radiators meant that the house was nice and warm, but if like us, you didnt want to keep them on all the time, you might want to take your slippers to keep your feet warm.
That's it. Stay here if you get the chance, you wont regret it. Thank you Nick for sharing with us.
