Passing through on way to Devon

Posted 17-Feb-2015
It's a lovely hotel, large comfortable clean room. Nothing bad to mention other than the unexpected £12.50 parking charge & the fact that the reception staff forgot to mark our ticket so when we inserted our ticket we were being charged £21 & there was a long queue of cars behind us waiting while we tried to sort it out, which was a little stressful

Pleasant and Convenient

Posted 10-Feb-2015
Pros: The staff were friendly and helpful. The car park adjoins the hotel
Cons: Quite a lot of the electrical fittings in the room didn't work, so a more regular checking would be in order
Location: Convenient
It is centrally located, which makes it very convenient for the shops and attractions

Expedia Secret Hotel Bristol

Posted 04-Feb-2015
I wouldn't consider the Holiday Inn Bond Street Bristol a four star hotel. The rooms are ok, but it has very little 4 star facilities. It's a business hotel for business Travellers. It is close the the shopping centre Cabits Circus and Broadmead. But that's about it. Situated on the main artery commute into Bristol, and the hospital means it's noisy even in the 7th floor. The rooms are nice - bed was lovely, good pillows. Bathroom ok, except sink plug didn't work and was a push rod one, on investigation it was clogged with hair! My feeling it's an office block converted to be a hotel with some decent features but not 4 star. The food breakfast - room service was average.

Ideal location for ALL BRISTOL has to offer

Posted 12-Jan-2015
Pros: Location was perfect...although rather inconvenient when you might want a taxi and its raining !!
Cons: The selection of Draught beers would be good..,real ales would be a huge plus
Location: Perfectly located for Broadmead and Cabot Circus where the shopping is pretty darned good... Can be a pleasant walk to the City Centre and the Docks
Staff are exceptionally friendly and couldn't be more helpful and always met with a pleasant smile wherever you were in the hotel and made the stay a very enjoyable experience. The bar is a little limited but did try the hotels restaurant and found the food to be very good and surprisingly well priced. Although we didn't try the gym etc...I'm sure it was great for those who can't sit still and relax! Only little whinge was the fact the beds were quite firm, which didn't suit but feel sure that would improve with each room upgrade... So, if you're Goldilocks...then rooms on the fourth floor are for you !! Needless to say, we will be going back

Excellent !

Excellent .... new modern hotel, great rooms, excellent service, across the road from the shops. There are only two little things wrong .... the breakfast is great with a lot of choix (hot and cold) but the orange juice for breakfast is horrible !!! (the other juices are fine !) and the parking is a little expensive (maybe the hotel sho negociate a GOOD price with NCP !)
