Following a review with Expedia on Friday evening, Matthew from reception reached out with the below;
I am able to offer you an upgrade to one of our newly refurbished 1 bedroom river views for no additional cost.
We had gone out to lunch and they rang and said our room was ready and they needed our current room, so I said they could move our belongings. However when we returned we found that the room was of the same basic rundown quality of the previous room, and in fact if anything was smaller that the one we had moved from.
It most certainly had NOT been refurbished,and if anything was a downgrade.
They moved us from room 2703 to 2905.
Yes we had a balcony, but given it’s probably just about large enough to actually stand on and we never used, or would have wanted to.
Yes they allowed us to park in their car park for the last night, we had already paid $35 for a nights parking in some offsite car park. Incidentally there seemed to be plenty car parks available in the car park.
So all in all a very disappointing end to our 5 day stay in Brisbane.
Not impressed at all…
