Excellent inn with a PERFECT location to hit all the iconic spots on Salem! The Inn has so much character and Matt and Kelly are lovely! They gave us amazing recommendations on tours, food, and helped us have an amazing trip! 10/10 recommend choosing this gorgeous stay!!!

Matt and Kelly were so welcoming and helpful. We felt like this was our home away from home! They even provided a free voucher to one of the local cafe's since due to covid, they were not making breakfast. The café food was amazing and Matt's coffee was even better. But the best part though out of this whole stay were the cats Blakey and Sonny! Best butlers around town!

The home was unique and very cozy. Close to everything going on around Salem. The owners are very knowledgeable about the history of Salem and other attractions in the area.

Matt and Kelly were the perfect hosts! They accommodated our early check-in without issue, and were so welcoming to their beautiful inn. They provided us keys to both our room and the home so we could come and go as we please, and provided us with tons of recommendations for dinner, entertainment and general things to do around the city! Could not recommend the Stepping Stone Inn more and we will definitely be returning for another stay next year!

The common areas are wonderful, open and well appointed. Our room required rather steep stairs to access. It had a in suite bath which was excellent but it had taken up some of the room to have been added. A little tight but all told it has been a excellent experience.

One night in Salem
Great little family run place in the heart of Salem. First class from check in to check out. Would recommend to anyone thinking of staying in Salem.

Stepping Stones was perfect for our getaway! The house was tastefully and comfortably decorated. Our mattress (manufactured in Salem!) was incredibly comfortable. Hosts were friendly, knowledgeable and welcoming and you couldn't pick a better location - Our car remained parked except for our Saturday outing to Gloucester. Couldn't of asked for more....!!!

Stepping Stones is a very quaint way to visit Salem. The accommodation is spotless, the breakfast excellent and its location is numero uno. We thorughly enjoyed the experienced that was enhanced by the helpfulness of the hosts, who were friendly and knowledgable. Enjoyed every moment of the two night stay.

We stayed at the steppingstone inn, it was very comfortable the staff was very nice, They were able to check us in quickly gave us a small tour of the place it was quite lovely. An enjoyable stay
Stayed in this B&B so as to experience Salem in October. It is located in the heart of most activity, within walking distance to everything. The room (Boston room) was comfortable but small with little storage space. This was not unexpected as the house itself was built in 1846. The owners ,Matt and Kelly, are very friendly and very helpful in suggesting restaurants and sites to see. Halloween season in Salem is truly unique and experiencing at the Stepping Stone Inn enhanced our enjoyment.

It's a very old house so the bathroom's a compromise in fact very cramped, not easy to use at all. Well placed for exploring Salem on foot though.

Hi Tony, Thanks for taking the time to review us. Yes, our house is old, built in 1846, long before indoor plumbing, so the bathrooms had to be added much later. The positive side is that all of our rooms have their own private baths and none of our guests have to share bathrooms with each other. You stay in a B&B for its charm and quaintness. Glad you found our location central to all of Salem's attractions. Cheers!

This was my first time to stay in a bed and breakfast. Matt and is adorable family were very accommodating and extremely knowledgeable about Salem and best places to visit/ eat. Our room was cozy and comfortable. The Stepping Stone Inn is very well positioned - we were only a few minutes walk from everything we wanted to see or do. Thank you for having us!!

Fantastic b&b close to everything.
Wonderful stay here. Matt and Kely the owners cannot do enough for you and will answer any questions on the area. Lovely room with all amenities and fresh breakfast every day. Close to all that Salem has to offer and fantastic base for exploring the area. Would definitely stay here again.

Location perfect for walking.
This historic place is located right in the heart of Salem. Close to shopping, restaurants and activities, it was very easy to get around. The room was beautiful and bed very comfortable. The stairs were a bit of a challenge but the owner was very helpful. The owner also was informative about the local history of the house and area. Thanks Matt and family for a great stay
