A Five Star B&B that has to experienced to be believed! Designed and managed by Elena and her mother, they have assembled a first class team of the most outgoing, friendly staff who work to make your time there unforgettable. From the food to the accommodations-par excellence!! The pool and gardens for time spent at the Relais or expert guidance to the local sights not to be missed- from the mountains to the sea. We loved the beach and also the walled village of Cervo. Imperial market was fun and lunch at the port with the wooden boats and grand yachts. Liguria is a treasure and home base of Relais del Maro is ideal.

Great place to stay!!!
Absolutely amazing place!! The staff was VERY friendly and the premises were in top-notch condition. Beautiful garden with a pool. Breakfast was also very tasty with a lot of different options. Highly recommended!

A place to unwind & romance!
Beautiful property in a lovely village. Everything was wonderfully maintained and breakfast & afternoon tea wonderful as was the sundowner glass of wine relaxing on the terrace! Truly deservers every good review it has received! We stayed in the main house in room 5!

Old World Charm at it's Best
The most lovely hotel and amazing hosts. We arrived late and had dinner at the local pizzaria with the locals, food was delicious. Our room was charming and so comfortable. The breakfast was one of the best we had in Italy. The village is absolutely beautiful. We will definitely be back.

Perfect retreat!
Beautiful getaway from it all stay. So much attention to detail. Our fridge was not working and was replaced straight away even though it was a Sunday. Breakfast amazing with a little book to let you know where everything was made. Stunning!

A Jewel in Borgomaro
This is a beautiful little hotel! The attention to detail in the selection of colors, finishes, furnishings and linens is outstanding. The grounds are beautiful,the staff go out of their way to accommodate your needs and the breakfast is wonderful, with a wide selection of homemade breads and pasteries. We truly enjoyed our time here.

Lovely hotel a bit of a ways from the beach
Very lovely hotel in a quiet village. We loved everything about the hotel itself. If you're planning to get to the coast every day, though, it may not be the perfect choice, unless you're going directly to Imperia. We were heading to Laigueglia, which was a bit too long a drive (40 min) to be relaxing. Also, the restaurants in the immediate vicinity, while very charming (especially Ca Sottane), are of average food quality. If you're planning to spend some time away from the beach, Relais would be an excellent choice.

Inviting and charming atomospher
Wonderful inviting atmosphere by staff and owner. The duplex room was charming. Although it was on the smaller side, the high ceiling made it appear larger and spacious. Afternoon tea and breakfast was perfect. We plan to stay there again the next time we visit. Would highly recommend it.

Ligurian Gem
This was our second visit to the Relais de Maro. It is an exceptional hotel with excellent service, well thought out rooms and a high quality breakfast. They offer complementary tea in the afternoon and it has a lovely garden and pool. They have rooms in houses spread around the village, but it is nicer to stay in the main house. Borgomaro is a quiet viillage but has two good restaurants and is very conveneient for touring the region.

Italian Gem
Newly renovated hotel with very well furnished and comfortable rooms. Excellent breakfast with high quality local ingredients and fresh cakes and tea/coffee in the afternoon. Staff very helpful and the whole is run with great attention to getting the details right. Charming garden and pool and good restaurants nearby.

Der Empfang und die Betreuung ist sehr herzlich. Die Zimmer sind sehr sauber, das Frühstück bietet eine tollen Auswahl. Wir und unser Hund haben uns sehr willkommen gefühlt. Wir besuchen das Hotel gerne wieder und empfehlen es sehr gerne weiter.

Francois merci pour votre commentaire et le compliment au staff, qui chez nous, c'est vrai, se consacre au soin du client avec tout son coeur Nous sommes désolées pour votre opion sur la chambre numéro 5: rappelez que nos batiments ne naissent pas comme chambres d'hotel, mais ont été récupérés des typiques maisons ligurienne du XVIII siècle. Les espaces ne peuvent pas etre lequels d'un grand hotel :)

Parfait
L'accueil est charmant (et en Français pour ceux qui y attachent de l'importance). Le soin du détail est exemplaire. Tout est soigné, très propre, rien ne manque dans les chambres mais en plus un grand nombre de petits détails apportent une chaleur supplémentaire. ( Comme par exemple des bougies allumées le soir dans les escaliers, les couloirs, le jardin). Le petit déjeuner est excellent, le personnel est gentil, souriant et vraiment aux petits soins. C'est une adresse parfaite qui mérite amplement ses étoiles.

Un vrai coup de cœur
Un vrai coup de cœur pour cet établissement ! Au delà des prestations exceptionnelles, c’est la gentillesse, la disponibilité et la compétence de l’équipe qui nous a bluffé ! Ils connaissent leur ville et leur région comme leur poche et aiment faire découvrir leur terroir si riche. Nous avons qu’une hâte c’est de revenir plus longtemps.

Außergewöhnlich toll geführtes kleines Hotel 20 km von der Küste entfernt im grünen hügeligen Hinterland von Imperia. Hotel ist bestens gepflegt und das Personal hält alle Infos zu Resturants, Ausflügen, regionalen Einkaufsmöglichkeiten etc. bereit und organisiert/reserviert alle Wünsche seiner Gäste! Das Personal beherrscht zahlteiche Sprachen.

Hôtel good but poor restaurants in area exept one
We enjoyd the hotell & staff as well as restaurant Censin, but IF you stay over the week end all the seats are prebooked by People coming from outside the village so on has to drive to Imperia to eat ans like the Pizzeria net door they are not even polite about IT, comme monday they are closed. So good hôtel but stay avay during week ends one needs local knowledge to be in area.

Dear Mr Thor, thank you for your nice words on our hotel. We are happy you enjoy the stay. I am sorry but I don't agree on your comments about the restaurants in the area: Borgomaro is a little village of 300 inhabitants, and so people who book here can imagine there is not the choice of restaurants as in a big city. In Borgomaro you actually have 4 different possibilites: pizzeria, agriturismo, typical trattoria and new a la carte restaurant and let me say there is enough choice for a little village like we are. We explained clearly at check in that in high season it is better to book and we offered to do that for you. I am sorry if you did not listen to our advice, but it is not the restaurants fault to be busy in AUGUST. We try to give the assistance a client needs to organize the stay at its best, but if the client don't listen to our advice than i think he should blame himself Thank you Kind regards Elena

Toller Service in Borgomaro
Der Service und die Freundlichkeit der Betreiberinnen von Relais del Maro sind einzigartig! Neben dem Haupthaus gibt es zwei weitere Wohngebäude, unseres war etwa 200 Meter entfernt. Das Zimmer war gut ausgestattet, aber sehr klein und nur mit einem Fenster versehen. Wenn man eh den ganzen Tag draussen ist und nur dort schläft, dann ist es ok, an einem Regentag wird einem aber die Decke auf den Kopf fallen. Eine private Garage steht zur Verfügung direkt am Hotel. Im Haupthaus gibt es einen Pool und eine Liegewiese mit ordentlichem Mobiliar. Das Frühstück kann man draussen im Garten oder im Frühstücksraum einnehmen. Es ist phantastisch mit vielen Produkten aus der Region und alles frisch und liebevoll zubereitet. Nachmittags gibt es Kaffee, Tee und selbstgebackenen Kuchen. Und das gratis. 100 Meter entfernt ist eine einfache Pizzeria. Man kann dort schön draussen sitzen, es war sehr viel los, als wir da waren. Auch viele Einheimische. Die Pizza teilt man sich am besten, sie ist riesengroß!! Wie gesagt: einfach, aber die Qualität stimmt. Der Wein war auch ok. An einem anderen Abend waren wir in einem Agritourismo essen, man geht einen steilen Berg hoch, nicht sehr weit, vielleicht einen Kilometer aber sehr steil. Da freut man sich schon beim Aufstieg auf den Rückweg. Das Essen war so lala, es gab viele Gänge und viel zu essen, aber so richtig lecker war es nicht. Sie haben sich dort auf Touristen eingestellt, die mal a la Mamma essen wollen...

Eine Oase der Ruhe und Herzlichkeit
Selten wird man in einem Hotel mit so viel Herzlichkeit während des gesamten Aufenthaltes versorgt! Borgomaro ist ein kleines Dorf im Hinterland von Imperia.Die Hotelanlage besteht aus 3 Gebäuden die über den Ort verteilt sind. Somit ist es möglich, dass das Zimmer vom Haupthaus ein paar Gehminuten entfernt ist. Die Zimmer sind sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Alles mit sehr viel Liebe zum Detail. Die Classiczimmer sind nicht besonders groß. Wer mehr Platz benötigt sollte dies bei der Buchung berücksichtigen und ein größeres Zimmer wählen. Sollten wir wieder in diese Gegend von Ligurien kommen, werden wir ganz sicher das Relais del Maro wählen!! Ganz herzlichen Dank an alle für die schönen Tage.

Traumhaft, eine Reise wert!!!!
Das Hotel ist eine Oase der Freundlichkeit, der Gemütlich,- und der Herzlichkeit!! Wir hatten eine sehr schöne und geschmackvoll eingerichtete Suite, der Garten und das POOL sind sehr schön und auch das Frühstück lässt keine Wünsche offen!! Wir kommen ganz bestimmt wieder!
