The service was second to none! The hotel itself was clean and well kept and the location was central to everything walkable, with a tram stop 1-2 minutes away for further attractions.

I feel mixed about posting this review I found this hotel very beautiful, but we did have some questions about it. There were three of us in our party, and we had to pay a supplement for our third person, though it felt as if the towels and the water and minimum amenities only supported or approached the two guests, additionally there’s not a lobby in the hotel. So it is hard to find a place of repose We felt some of the staff worked hard to be accommodating to us as we did have an extra travel day so other seemed a little colder and it is a lovely facility and a beautiful location, but I also felt it wasn’t as welcoming as other places have been on our trip. - not as warm and inviting -

The room was great and the help at the front desk was absolutely excellent. The room was very well appointed—even had a little kitchen—but there was a lot of dust under the bed. I say this in order to alert the hotel and help them improve. But I loved the hotel and would stay there again!

Lovely property, staff were very helpful and welcoming. Would like ideally a little bar or area to sit that’s wasn’t just in your room for the breakfast but plenty of space around the room. Nice toiletries also. Room was lovely but the curtain was slightly unattached at the top so didn’t work as fully blackout. Location is great if you want to walk around this area and it feels safe especially for solo guests.

Really lovely stay at the Cardinal!
Great stay at this hotel. Well located in a quiet street but close to centre so perfect for walking and tram. Super friendly staff who suggested some nice restaurants for us. Our room over-looked the small internal courtyard and had limited natural light so we had to put the lights on for breakfast even though weather was sunny outside. We also had no option but to eat our breakfast in our room which didn’t have any views. The same breakfast is served every morning including coffee, pastries, fruit and fresh baguette. Was fresh and to a high standard but would have liked more variety e.g. yoghurt, granola, eggs. Loved the Clarins toiletries and the tasty treats that were left in our room for us to enjoy when we arrived back at the hotel after a day of walking and sightseeing.

We stayed in this hotel on a family trip. We got a really nice room with a little kitchenette and a small fridge, it was really nice. Staff was great and welcoming, they don’t have a restaurant inside the hotel, they serve you breakfast inside of your room which has a table and a nice space to eat or in a little beautiful terrace, which is shared by two rooms. It is a beautiful property really well located right in the middle of everything, you can walk or ride a bike to almost any attraction in Bordeaux.

THE most e visited hotel ever. Supreme hospitality rarely seen, certainly in the United States. All rooms are suites with gorgeous furnishings, high ceilings, excellent linen and towels. Very lovely hotel. When we got a flat tire on our last day and really needed help with getting in touch with the appropriate parties for assistance, the ladies at the front desk were extremely helpful - we could not thank them enough. The lady who was there onsite during our 2 day stay provides the kind of service that makes one hotel stand out from another. Thank you for a great stay.

Wonderful stay!
We had a lovely stay at Cardinal Hotel and only wish we had booked an additional night in the city. Since our arrival, we were warmly greeted at the reception and received recommendations on a place for lunch while our room was ready - the meal was delicious. We had a really spacious and comfortable room with all the necessary amenities including very nice luxury bath products from Clarins, bathrobes, and complimentary water and coffee. They also booked us dinner reservations at a great restaurant, which had amazing food. We opted for the in room breakfast, which we highly recommend. Not only was it a great quality but it’s also so nice about waking up to a beautifully served breakfast in the room. It was the perfect touch. We had a great night’s sleep and room was really quiet and perfect to relax, despite its centric location a few steps from the Bordeaux Cathedral and all the great shopping and restaurants the city has to offer. We highly recommend this hotel and will definitely stay here again in a future visit.

We totally enjoyed our 3 night stay here. Outside our room was a very nice patio area, which we enjoyed. Morning French breakfast was lovely. Access to the tram was just a short walk around the corner. Restaurants were in the square nearby as well as stores. All the staff were friendly and extremely helpful. Pauline was wonderful. The suite was of generous size. If we ever come back to Bordeaux again we will definitely stay here again. Will be recommending it to our friends. For some reason the dates are incorrect. We checked out on July 14.

The staff at this property went above and beyond to accommodate any requests we had. They were extremely personable and knowledgeable about everything in the area. The rooms are clean, quiet, and beautifully decorated. Our only complaint was the breakfast is not very appetizing. Was definitely expecting more. However, there are plenty of cafés and breakfast options in the area. Overall we had an amazing stay and would absolutely recommend.

Great Staff, Great Location, Chic Rooms.
Amazing staff hospitality and courteous. Each team member was polite and thoughtful - it really made a good stay. The decor and rooms were exactly what you expect from a modern boutique hotel. The small kitchenette was a great bonus. The location was close to city centre, but set in a small street so it was quiet when it was required. Will 100% recommend to stay.

First, the staff is outstanding. Friendly, energetic, helpful, welcoming. Second, the location is perfect -- almost everything is within easy walking distance. Third, the facility is immaculate, the room we had was beautiful and spacious. Very very pleased.

Great location and the size of the suite. Comfortable beds and good working air conditioning. There is very very little area to congregate outside of your room. Some very strange design decisions, we had a suite that had 2 showers and sinks but a separate tiny toilet just as you enter the suite. So you had to almost keep the toilet room open to use it… Everyone at the front desk was very friendly.

Our bathroom has 2 sink and 1 shower, separated from the toilets like in many French Houses. We would be glad to welcome you in our Cardinal Suite with it's 60sqm and it's big living room next time. Bordeaux visit
Amazing place. Old high society apartments turned into boutique hotel. Perfect location. Highly recommend and staff is wonderful.
