a great place to stay in the middle of everything tou need-located in downtown Bonn,plenty of stores and places to eat and shop.Sparkling clean,friendly staff...you cannot go wrong with this place.Best option in the area.

Friendly receptionists right from first day and also on last day there in the early morning hours, they answered if I had a query promptly. A very quiet hotel, though depends on the travelers at the time, but the room was nice peaceful and refreshing.

Solid place. Good if you are visiting.
Nice hotel in center. Good for a visitor or other. Good beds and clean. Only complaint is that there is no free coffee in room.

Solid and affordable hotel
Good place to stay if you want to soak up Bonn. Quite central, clean and quiet and pretty close to Friedensplatz which is a good spot for eats and drinks.

The friendly and helpful stay make this place!
This is my second time staying here and I came back because of the wonderful staff and they were again amazing. So friendly, warm and welcoming, they make the place feel like a home away from home. Will be staying again next time I am in Bonn. The breakfast is super tasty with excellent bread selection and the showers hot and powerful. It's in a really convenient place, very close to restaurants, shops sights and easy to reach the World Conference Centre by public transport.

An old hotel in a great location
The hotel is quite worn out and very basic. No amenities, no toiletries in the bathroom, no view (at least not from my room). But it makes up for this with a fabulously central location and very friendly and helpful staff.

I was with my "full family" and the front desk really like dogs! A very good buffet breakfast. Their own parking lot. WiFi worked well. And very close to old Bonn and Beethoven's birth house. The main trains station is also walking distance.

Very nice hotel.
We enjoyed staying at this hotel. Very clean and comfortable. Nice helpful staff. Close to the river and old town. They have nice bikes for rent, but unfortunately we didn't have enough time for that.

Central hotel in Bonn
The hotel is close to the city center, in walking distance to the main square, several of the attractions, and close to the university as well. The breakfast is tasty and the receptionist was always friendly. The hotel is a little on the older side but well kept. The price was little on the high end. There was one slightly negative thing: I once returned from a social dinner at 12:15am and had to knock for a good 5min to get into the hotel as the main door was closed which was a little odd. Otherwise it was all good and I'd recommend the hotel.

A convenient place to stay
The hotel is a little pricey but we had no choice we had to booked a room that is city center and in a nice location. The convention is 4 days away. Staffs are nice and helpful.

Terrific City, and Great Location

Bonn - Consul
The Consul is located just blocks from the historic area in Bonn with shopping and museums. The hotel had parking on premises which was convenient due to the location. The staff was very friendly to the limited German speaking American family. The restaurant is limited to breakfast, but the short walk to the shopping area proved to have a number of good choices for restaurants and local eateries. The room was comfortable and set up for 3 people very nicely.

Hotel convenient for town centre
Stayed at Hotel Consul last year and it was very good. Slightly disappointed this year as standard of room cleanliness, particularly bathroom, has deteriorated a little. Also had bit of a 'run in' with one of the reception staff but others were lovely and extremely helpful. A good budget price hotel, convenient, good breakfast.

Perfectly located to all shops and restaurants
The hotel was very clean and quaint. The staff was quite friendly and helpful as well. The free wifi and coffee were also a nice perk. The only problem I had was that the bed was a twin size (not clearly stated on the listing) and the mattress was very uncomfortable. Luckily I was so tired from jet lag that it didn't matter all that much. The location was ideal, as it was walking distance to the city center, with shopping, farmer's market and restaurants. The train station was also only a short walk.

Base for exploring the Rhineland
We arrived in the late morning (well before check-in time) from our overnight trans-Atlantic flight and had to only wait a very few minutes for our room to be ready. The staff was very friendly and a good source of local information. The hotel is ideally situated near old town Bonn, only four blocks from the Rhine, a 10-minute walk to the main train station, and a block from Beethoven's birthplace! The room was a bit small but comfortable and quiet. The decor in the lobby could use some updating but did not detract from the experience. Breakfast had many, many items to choose from and all were delicious! We recommend this hotel highly!

The location of this hotel is exceptional, not only that; when you arrive, nothing is too much for the staff. Parking was adjacent to the hotel and very easily accessible, the room was good without being fancy.

OK for a short stay
The hotel is just fine for a short business visit. Reception and check out are efficient, taxis arrive when booked and the free in-room internet works well. The room is well appointed and the overall space is just about adequate for one. I would have appreciated a more comfortable bed but otherwise fine for a two night stay. About 10 minutes from the main station and well situated for public transport, the pedestrianized central retail area, the Beethoven Haus and the Altstadt. Not a lot of room to move in a busy breakfast room but the buffet offers reasonable choice and provides a good start to the working day.

Great Value
Excellent hotel in a great location. Staff spoke perfect English and was extremely friendly. I was in town 1 night before running a marathon the next morning and the staff offered a late (4pm) checkout at no cost to accommodate runners staying at the hotel. Excellent value for the price!
