This hotel is in a great location. You can easily walk to many museums and stores. It is quite near a major shopping center. The restaurants right next to the hotel are excellent. Each room in the hotel is painted with a mural depicting some aspect of the history of Bologna. The breakfast, which is included, was wonderful-fruits, yogurt, eggs, and countless pastries.

The hotel was excellently located and quiet from outside noise, but the internal walls were very thin - you could hear the people next door using the loo and flushing it. The breakfast buffet was a bit odd - who has broccoli for breakfast??

Enjoyed our two night stay in the center of Bologna’s historic district. Very clean and organized. Helpful staff. Very central location near sites and restaurants. Beds were not super comfortable but not terrible either. Interesting style of hotel. Breakfast was bid spread and good quality but oddly a bit boring at the same time.

This hotel was fabulous! The location just to one side os Basilica S. Petronio put me in the center of town. It has historical features (12th c wooden beams for support) inside. Each room has a theme and is uniquely decorated. I stayed in two room types (one on the 3rd floor with a terrace and a more modest double classic room on the 2nd floor). Both had wonderful bathrooms with strong showers. The refrigerator with mini bar was nice. A dining table with seats was fitted into a nook (so thoughtful). The staff were just outstanding! Very upbeat, great courtesy and helpful especially the front desk and breakfast room staff. The only negatives are the beds are hard and the 2nd floor room had lower quality pillows and bedding. I had to exchange a blanket I needed to use (since it became cold) at the front desk since it had a bad odor. Also, being Fall, the A/C, heat or just the fan didn’t work. I had to open the windows of the terrace door (3rd floor) to get air. I did ask the front desk staff but they weren’t able to get it function. Enjoyed my stay in Bologna very much - mostly due to this hotel!

Fabulous place to stay, quirky welcoming boutique hotel. Staff even volunteered to make us a breakfast to go because we had an early morning flight. Able to walk to to many restaurants and shops.

Great location in quiet street near main square. Usual Arthotel quirky and distinctive room decor. Comfortable junior suite with unusually efficient daily room cleaning service. Excellent breakfast offering. Efficient and helpful reception. Elevator unreliable but otherwise all good.

Exquisite location. Cosy and filled with art and antiques. Each room is decorated according to a theme. Ours was so pretty we had to video it. Gorgeous bathroom even had a special feminine wash liquid in the bidet. Massive bathtub. Breakfast sumptuous and so varied. A perfect stay in every way!

The hotel is fine but the top end rooms are in a different location requiring five turns. While we eventually sorted it, it took a day. I would stay away from these rooms.

It was an excellent and too-short stay. Our room was amazing, the staff were great, breakfast was substantial, tasty and with lots of choice. The situation, right in the centre of Bologna, couldn't have been better and although reaching the hotel was a challenge, the instructions to do so were comprehensive and got us there safely

Unexpected trip to Bologna
We were impacted by the air traffic glitch in the UK so had to quickly head from Verona to Bologna to get a flight home. The hotel location is perfect right in the heart of the City with easy walking distance to bars, restaurants and sights. The staff and breakfast were excellent too and the room was very good. Areas that need some TLC are the lift (just one very small / old lift that broke down) and curtains in the room that provide some shield from the light.
