Staff were the highlight of the stay, they were all friendly and happy to help from reception, to the restaurant and housekeeping! The ones I spoke with are all a real credit to the hotel.
The room itself had everything you needed and was spotless as well as the corridors and public areas.
A few niggles I would point out being in the industry is:
Atmosphere: adequate lighting and some low music in the restaurant would do wonders, maybe it was a one off but it makes a huge difference (I dined at 19:30 and the lights were mostly off with no music playing)
Glasses: some of the glasses in the restaurant are in desperate need of renovating, they were clean but clearly well used, an easy fix so not a major issue at all
Overall I’d happily stay again and the issues I did see are more due to my job, considering how much of struggle it’s been to work in the industry and find adequate staffing since covid the hotel is doing well at maintaining standards and proving a great place to stay.
