So we arrived with 2 children at 1:30pm to find the hotel all locked up and not answering my calls. We stood outside trying to figure out what to do next, then a lovely lady from Sheila Heights a couple of doors down invited us in and offered us refreshments. She also let us log onto her WiFi as we had no connection/service for some reason. She then gave us a mobile number for the hotel but again when I called there was no answer so I left a message.
An email from the Brema hotel then came through at 13:40 to say that the booking was cancelled. So we then had to quickly find another available hotel and it was now 3pm and the kids just wanted to get to the promenade.
We did manage to find another hotel but it was more expensive and not that great. If there was a vacancy at Sheila Heights we would have stayed there as they did all they could to help us.
A last minute cancellation was totally unprofessional and left our family in Blackpool looking around for alternative accommodation when the kids should have been having a great time.
