“I'll pass thank you”

There are other hotels nearby, much more expensive tho.....you get what you pay for....and this was not a cheap hotel either

Area recommendations
Bishop is in the heart of the Sierra's. The town is very cute and welcoming, lots of hiking, biking, and shopping.....Schats's Bakery is a must, best sweets and homemade bread anywhere.....

“A good hotel that isn't on the main drag, HWY 395.”

This place is a comfortable place to stay in Bishop, California for fishing or hiking trips. I found that it was more ideal because it wasn't on the main drag, highway 395. In fact, the hotel is on the road, I believe highway 168, that goes directly up the road to lake Sabrina, South lake, North lake, and Intake 2. Because it's not on highway 395, it seems to be a bit more quiet. The room had a waist high refrigerator that contained a small freezer section. This was important, because I had a bunch of fish that I wanted to freeze for the trip home. Lastly, there's a gas station with a convenience store right next door. Comfortable, clean, and well located.

“Not What I Expected”

The room was not in the best shape. There were holes in the wall and carpet and the furniture looked like it had just been pushed here and there. Also, there was a plunger in the bathroom, which always makes me a little apprehensive... and yes I did have to use it! Hairdryers were listed as a room ammenity, but there was not one in the room. We were traveling via motorcycle so I didn't have high hopes of having a good hair day, but I would have at least liked to dry it! This motel is more than a few blocks off the main street which made it impossible to walk anywhere. I would not stay here again, nor would I recommend it to anyone.

Area recommendations
The main street through town; it's where everything's located.

“"Good place to stay for the $."”

This hotel was NOT on HWY 395, the main drag, but just a few blocks away, which was no problem. At night there was little to no traffic, so the nights were quiet. My only concern was that the ceiling fan/light was not working.

Dining
Whiskey Creek Restaurant is a "For Sure" place to eat!!!

“Days Inn Bishop is just Okay - But I would stay again.”

Motel looks very nice from the outside and very well kept. The inside of the rooms need some work, stains on the carpeting and couch. We had a beautiful ceiling fan in our room but it did not work. When I spoke to the maintenance person, he stated "Oh, that''s brand new, it doesn't work". Overall the management is very nice and I did enjoy my stay. Really, for the price you are not going to find much better and it is centrally located in Bishop.

“Delightedly surprised”

We booked this room to stay near Devil's Post Pile. It was far enough away to be affordable, yet close enough to make a comfortable drive the next morning. Booked online one never knows what we will find when we get there. We were surprised and delighted. The room was nice in every way. Roomy, clean, comfortable.

Area recommendations
We had a great visit to Devil's Post Pile. There's a lot to do there. Hiking, biking, climbing, sightseeing, skiing in winter, etc. They even have a day care if you have children too young to go on the hikes, or whatever.
What to pack
If you take a tour bus to get down near the hiking trails, take a bottle of drinking water with you. You can refill with great water from the ranger station, as long as you have the container.

“Nice hotel at convenience location”

The hotel is clean and conveniently locate near major roadway. Room is clean and comfortable. A few of our towels has stain on it and the lady at the counter was quick to get us replacement.

Outdoors or beach
If you stay at Bishop and want to do some hiking. You ought to consider hiking from South Lake to Long lake and as far up as you can. It is very beautifully up there, especially in spring and in fall.
