“Will stay here again”

Great location and perfect for a ski vacation. Short walk up the hill for ski out and then ski right to the door for ski in. Great room, very clean, nicely appointed. Only complaint was that the shower was not much more than a drip. That part was rather disappointing. Overall however, a great experience.

“Impressive service”

We were not sure if we were at the right place since the check-in is at a separate building, but as soon as we talked to the desk, they had a bellman with a cart to help unload the car and handle the valet parking. The bellman was very helpful in providing "color" while we walked with him to our room in an adjoining building. When we wanted our car for a trip into town we would call down and it was waiting for us by the time we got to the main entrance. Check-out was very efficient as well.

“Beautiful rooms, great location”

These units were very luxuriously appointed and decorated, and immediately adjacent to the slopes. (BUT they are NOT all ski in/ski out from the room- we were initially given rooms on the fourth floor- and after complaining, the front desk did move us to the second floor for direct access- even upgrading the room at no charge.) Attentive service (maid service and turn-down) and helpful concierge in the main lodge.

Must see

Of course, in the winter, the whole point of going is for the skiing, and it was excellent. As advertised, there are virtually no lift lines anywhere on the mountain. That's because this is a huge mountain with a small resort and nobody there- even during Christmas vacation. You have to take the tram to the top on a clear day (if you're not advanced enough to ski down, you can ride it back down.) Two other excellent side trips: dog sledding- make sure you get to drive the sled (half day) and snow-coach and/or snowmobiling in Yellowstone park (full day).

Dining

Very limited options. This is a small resort and there aren't that many restaurants. We were willing to pay more for nicer places (the Peaks or the Cabin for dinner, or the Pinnacle for lunch) but there were very few options for those on a tighter budget. Andiamos was disappointing. If you had a car (or wanted to take the bus) you could drive down to the meadow village for a few more options.

Nightlife

None. There are no clubs and the bars are only busyish during apres ski hours- they're pretty dead after 8pm.
