“Best location!”
Great hotel, helpful staff and best location ever! Located in front of a 100 bus stop, which takes you to all the main sightseeings and 3 minutes walk from the underground station. Close to the best shopping areas and to cheap bakeries where you can have cheaper breakfast..
“A very impressive stay.”
I was very impressed with my stay at the Hotel Sylter Hof. The staff at the hotel were extremely helpful and friendly and they were always more than happy to help. I thought the Hotel breakfast was absoluteloy superb for ten euros, there was so much choice, i was not expecting it be that good and it really set me up for the day of sighteseeing ahead. There are two computers available in the lobby and it was always easy to get on to one of them. If i had only one minor complaint, it would be that mjy room was incredibly hot at night, making it difficult for me to sleep. Air conditioning was most certainly needed. During my stay the weather was not too warm, so in the heat of the summer it must be unbearable. The main road outside made it impossible to leave the window open all night because of the noise created by the traffic. The hotel is in an excellent location for my sightseeing trip. I would most certainly recommend this hotel, and i would certainly have no problem going back again. A superb hotel in a great location.
“Great Location & Friendly Staff”
The Sylter Hof is in a fabulous location - 2 minutes walk from the Ka De We department stores and Wittenbergplatz with its restaurants and underground station. The hotel is an easy 20 minute walk from the Zoo Station and is near to major shopping and tourist sites. I've stayed at the hotel on 4 or 5 occasions now and would have no hesitation in recommending it. However, there are a number of negative points: there can be traffic noise if you are in a room to the front of the building and there is no air conditioning although an electric fan is provided. Overall though, I think it is a super hotel in a fantastic location. Breakfast is excellent although quite expensive. The baker's on the corner of Keithstrasse serves an excellent breakfast at half the price and has a very pleasant sunny terrace on which you can eat your breakfast. The journey from the airport is easy with trains every half hour direct to Zoo Station.
“Nice hotel”
The reception area of the hotel is quite nice and there is a decent bar next to it. The staff are very polite and helpful and can speak english, which is useful if you struggle with german. The rooms are nothing special but they do serve their purpose. The tv does have 2 english speaking news channels which is helpful. There is a quite a busy road next to the hotel which may cause some people to struggle to sleep but its not too bad at all if you are used to london traffic noise all day. I didnt have breakfast so i cant comment on that. Overall the hotel is quite nice.
“Great location”
The hotel is very conveniently located with the nearest subway station Witternbergplatz located less than 10 minutes walk away. It's also very close to the main shopping areas in Tiergarten, and convenient for the start point of the Berlin Marathon. For the location, the price is quite reasonable compared to others, however this is because the decor is quite out of date. The lobby area is nice but the room itself could do with redecorating and the bed and pillow were not the best I have slept on.
“Close to centre of Berlin”
Great hotel. Currently undergoing massive refurb, so some facilities were not available, but did not affect our stay at all. Friendly, helpful staff. Great room. Very conveniently located. Number of good quality restaurants nearby.
“Convenient Location”
Hotel was good, breakfast wasn't included and it was a bit on the pricey side. However if you go around the corner there is also another place that serves same buffet but cheaper

nice helpful people, and the location was reasonably handy (though you should check the map - Berlin's bigger than i expected!) my problem was the (single) room was tiny, needed painting and was always far too hot (yes i fiddled with the thermostat) bed not really comfy either - i expected a lot more for my money.
