Property not located in area searched which turned out to be 1/2 hour further. Messed up some plans. Room booked was switched by owner and then had trouble getting in. No partial refund. No breakfast which is typically standard and dirty ice from ice machine.

A quaint motel with a cool vibe. Appeared recently refreshed inside and was a great value. Contactless checkin and no staffed office. Friendly cafe nearby for breakfast. Bought retro coffee mug.

I Loved this Motel! It was so nice to pull car right to my door and the system to get in and out my door worked great. The room itself was so clean and comfortable. Loved having an extra sink also. Which I had came in the summer and been able to use pool. Owner has done a great job on this place. Will highly recommend to family and friends coming in. Fabulous bed too!

For a small older motel it was very clean. The beds were comfortable. The pillows were the only complaint i have.

The room was updated and spacious. We liked the second sink to help our family get ready quicker. We liked having Netflix available. We would stay here again.

The staff was super friendly and accommodating, even when Expedia wasn’t. I’ll book with Motel Bear Lake again, but never with Expedia!

Motel on the lake
I typically don’t like staying at Motels because of the exterior door on the outside. This place has recently been updated and except for having no lobby and no one on the property it was a pleasant stay.

Clean & comfortable
The bear lake motel was a clean comfortable place to stay and conveniently located for us. Check in and out was simple. Will stay again when we come to this side of town.

Absolutely loved the mattress in Room 101. The rooms are alwys clean. Its in a convient arear to alot of places Arcadia Blufffs, Frankfort, Manistee thats just to name a few. We never see any staff on grounds not even the owner. The rooms are starting to look really good feom there renovations.

From the modern take on retro decor to the most comfortable bed we've ever slept in, this "motel" was out of this world. Exceptionally clean, beautifully decorated, amazing sunset, patio with rockers, beach across the street, tall shower with shampoo, conditioner and actual body wash and once again, the most comfortable mattress ever. We melted into a cloud and slept like babies. We will certainly be back.
