"Check in was easy. The room was spotless and facilities excellent. Staff were all polite and obliging. Breakfast was included in the price and was very good. A full range of English and Continental options all laid out and self service. Check out was equally easy. The site included a petrol station and a Toby Carvery which although not connected to the hotel were good for evening dining and filling the car with petrol before departure in the morning."

"The building & grounds are both very attractive. My room was modern, spacious, light & the bed was very comfortable. I also had nice views of the gardens. The carpet & furniture in the room needed a little repair although understandable with general wear & tear. The food in Sartoria was very good & the food in the Garden Brasserie was excellent. Service was very good across the hotel with all staff being professional, friendly & helpful. I will definitely stay again. Many thanks! "

"Very polite welcome on reception. Booked last minute and had a small dog with us which was no problems (extra £20 for the dog) Room starting to look slightly grubby (the carpets) and tired but was clean enough for a one night stay. Would recommended for a short stay close to the beach :-)"

"We have stayed at this hotel numerous times now it’s are go to hotel when down visiting family in south ockendon it’s perfectly situated to the motorway lakeside and railway stations this time we were pleasantly surprised that all the rooms are being re done also bar area the new rooms look great there comfortable clean and have everything you need can’t wait to visit again for the final finish also if you want warm welcoming and happy experience this hotel is a must the staff make it Allways a smiling face "
