Lovely Hotel
Lovely location and hotel. I used it with my son when we were touring on our motorbikes. Hotel is set in a beautiful location and the surroundings are very peaceful. Service was good and room suited our needs perfectly. Food was lovely and breakfast fab

Ideal quiet stay
Rooms ideal, plenty of tea, coffee etc, nice quiet location and dark curtains were amazing. Roofs quite dated but really clean. Lovely brekkie. I had a great view of the Bridge.

Welcoming and peaceful.
Booked for my dad . He had a nice welcome and really enjoyed the eggs benedict for breakfast. His room was cold but he didnt mention this until checking out when staff told him they would have brought a heater if he had asked. Room was clean and welcoming. The setting is lovely.

The location and setting were excellent although the 'track'up to it was poor with several of the roadside lights not working

It was close to the centres we wanted to visit was rural and wetlands were a delight. Waking up and see the birds in the lake was a real treat.

Very nice place near to Barton upon Humber.
We had a nice room with great views southward over the lake. Breakfast was good every morning. The staff were helpful at all times. The pubs and restaurants of Barton were just a short and very pleasant walk away, along the Humber. The only negative point that we have, was that the shower was awful on our fourth night, changing from dangerously hot to freezing cold every thirty seconds or so. It was fine for the rest of our stay. Despite that one hiccough, we would recommend this hotel and wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

We enjoyed our stay here , this was down to its pleasant location , the peaceful surroundings and quick access to the Humber bridge .The food is excellent .We loved the restaurant and bar areas . All this is backed up by great staff who are friendly and helpful. There is plenty of parking so this helps to make the stay easier , personally for us after a long journey , its just so helpful. O not forgetting the very comfortable room we stayed in with the wonderful view towards the Humber estuary.

Excellent one night stay.
A one night stay en route to our final destination. I have no complaints whatsoever about the hotel. Staff were very polite and friendly, check in was superfast. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. The bar was reasonably well stocked and dinner was excellent with the majority of dishes available with a gluten free version as well. Continental and full English breakfasts plus other choices as well. I recommend this hotel. I believe that the place is dog and child friendly and is sited adjacent to a nature reserve on the south bank of the Humber. Access from the bridge is signposted.

Great location for local wildlife and walking
Great location to explore the wildlife of the local area. Welcoming and friendly service, lovely room with views over the lake and nice to be able to sit outside looking over this too. Food was ok.

Not very impressed - wouldn't stay again
The plus side was that the staff were very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was good. The hotel is tired and in need of updating. We were not given the room that we paid for but they did deduct some money off the final payment. It is a quiet location but the party of 25 staying there were quite noisy. It was a bit further out from Hull than expected and it was not the easiest place to find. We loved being close to the Humber Bridge but sadly we wouldn't stay again. It just was just lacking - scruffy and could do with a really good clean up outside.

First visit to Barton upon Humber and Hull
We were visiting son and family, he's just moved to the area. We enjoyed walk along the Humber, Wildlife centre and Marina. All staff were very friendly and attentive. Breakfast and service was very good. Only down side was for a disabled room the double bed was pushed up against the wall which made it very difficult for one person to get out of the bed and the TV in room was very small. We will return but will ask for a room with access to both sides of bed and a walk in shower, not a bath with rails.

The setting was beautiful. The staff helpful and friendly. The breakfast excellent. 2 small pitfalls. I reserved the room from the photograph 4 poster bed unfortunately mine wasn't. The breakfast table was nicely set apart from a cup which had a coffee splash on the outside even though it hadn't been used. Saying that I would definately stay at the resort again.

This hotel is in a great location and we love Barton and go there often so had wanted to love this hotel, unfortunately we didn’t, though didn’t hate it either. It is in a beautiful location but does not make the most of this, everything is very bland and it feels tired. The food in the restaurant is uninspiring with average quality products and we only ate there once choosing to eat out the following night.

The area is absolutely beautiful. Nice view of the bridge. Lovely staff. The walls of the room are thin though. Ours was an adjoining room and the door was just next to the bed so we could hear every single conversation next door. Didn’t help that Neighbour was a snorer. Fire alarm went off in the middle of the night. Sleep was bad. Need to do something about the noise

Peaceful setting
A stunning setting, tranquil and ideal in sunny weather. We had a four poster room which was pleasant with a gorgeous river view. We requested soft pillows which were delivered promptly. Had afternoon tea which was excellent value for money, it was really good. Staff are friendly and helpful.

We stayed in one of the dog friendly rooms, could have done with a little less furniture (table and chairs) to give more room for the dogs, but otherwise a lovely room with a big bed (very comfy). The view of the Humber Bridge was really impressive from our room window. The grounds were great for exercising the dogs too.

Nice hotel just hope theres no neighbours
Staff were very helpful and the hotel was very nice. Location is excellent if you want a hotel that is out of the way. I found that the room was very noisy due to very thin walls. I could hear the chap in the next room snoring all night!

Nice welcoming lady at the reception. When we checked in on the night of 22nd Jan (6 pm) it was snowing, and freezing cold. Unfortunately, the boiler had a problem and as such the rooms were freezing cold. Whilst we were having dinner they managed to fix the problem, and the heating was back on. In the morning, at the time of checking out, the same lady informed us that they did not charge us any money for the dinner in order to compensate for the heating problem. Very nice gestures from them - shere professionalism. They know how to retain the customers; thumps up.

Comfortable room in peaceful natural environment
Great room with a beautiful lake view. Ideal for birdwatching. Cormorants, Tufted Ducks, Heron, Gadwall & Goldeneye easily seen from the bedroom window. Thousands of starlings "performing" before roosting at the end of the lane. Close to the river and Humber Bridge. But not easy to access without a car. No facilities in easy walking distance.

I loved this hotel. The staff were so friendly and more to point really dog friendly. Nothing was too much for them. Food was excellent, room lovely with a great view of the Humber bridge. There was excellent walks all around as it is in the middle of a nature reserve. We were there in December and had lovely walks with the dog and got back to a warm log burner in the the hotel. As I said the staff were lovely, they even offered to dog sit if we wanted to go to a dance they had on. Couldn’t fault it, we will be returning
