The staff at the hotel and at the restaurant were welcoming, amd very keen. The room was nice, clean and comfortable. The food was good and the location was everything we were after. Great experience.

Very ordinary hotel
The hotel is beautiful outside, very modern inside. The rooms are very ordinary, but good bed and quiet. Nothing special to say, but no reason to come back either.

A good spot in Barbizon, a great town
A good spot in a great town. I wanted to like it more, the suite was very large for France and the bathroom was updated but still only okay. Barbizon is a great town when you don’t want to be in Paris and Fountainbleu is quite nearby.

Hotel run down, nothing works, staff uninterested
Went to this hotel a few years ago, it was fabulous with an amazing restaurant. When i booked the hotel i asked the hotel for a reservation in the hotel, they didnt answer and when i arrived to be told no restaurant only breakfast which was revolting. Couldnt get in to the room as lock broken! Bath took 40 mins to fill, fridge not cold, air con not working, cleaners didnt change dirty glasses. Paint peeling off everywhere. Toilet wouldnt flush!! Bed very hard and incomfortable. I had to put cushions under the sheets as it was so hard. Terrible pillows. Staff totally uninterested. Went to bar one evening for a drink, nobody there to serve. This hotel is now only a 2 star only because it has pool etc. Very dissapointed

Perfect hotel for a romantic break
I haven't got a huge amount of experience when it comes to hotels in the region but comparing it to UK standards you could t ask for more at this hotels price point. The sound insulation was a little light and might be of concern depending on how romantic your trip is.

Very tired looking hotel, needs some money spending on it and €18 for a Buffett breakfast is far too expensive. The village is an artistic centre apparently which may explain the expensive prices

Barbizon well worth a visit. Pretty village with plenty of restaurants and galleries. Conveniently south of Paris for breaking journeys south. No restaurant in hotel for evening but plenty available. We were woken by bin lorry at 0600 which was a shame

Wish we had more time to enjoy the experience, the hotel is set in a beautiful old street, in the little village of Barbizon, the staff were very helpful when we got lost getting and didn't arrive till after midnight....Mervci

Short stay, great price through hotels.com Breakfast was 19 euros extra! The spa is a bit dated and consists of a small gym, pool and dark steam room

Overall very good
Room very clean but smelled of smoke from previous occupant. No coffee/tea making facilities in room which was disappointing for this level of hotel. Breakfast at €19 (or €24 in room) was far too expensive. Good position in centre of town and good parking.

One night at the Hôtel & Spa les Pléiades
One night stay at this hotel as we intended to visit Fontainbleau palace the next day which is only a few Kilometers away. We arived in the small town of Barbizon which is delightful has a number of nice places to eat and is quaint and well preserved. The hotel was clean and comfortable the staff freindly and helpful, we did not have time to use the Spa facilities. We never did get to Fontainbleau the following day as we had a long way to travel so may well go back and if we do I will certainly consider stopping at this hotel.

A haven.
This hotel was a surprise and a treat. We had been travelling for four weeks and had stayed in many hotels. This one was extremely comfortable with its large room and luxurious fittings and furniture. Our room had a balcony that looked out onto the street which was quiet but attractive. The hotel offered a spa, sauna and pool and was in the vicinity of numerous fabulous restaurants. The whole town was relaxing and attractive. It was a haven.

Excellent hotel and chef at a small country town
With a large lounge bar and large dining room, the hotel was a welcome stay after a full day exploring the First World War battlefields of the Somme. An excellent chef provided one of the best meals each of our party of four had had during the 3 weeks we were in Europe.

Barbizon is a very small village and very much art orientated. Not much to do in February.Excellent meal in nearby restaraunt as hotel does not have evening meals

The hotel was lovely. The staff zere excellent and very kind and firendly. Hotel was ina pricey neighborhood. I would recommend especially for couples for a nice weekend getaway.

Decent hotel, good service, too expensive
Decent hotel with good and friendly service. A bit overpriced for what it was. Worst point was total lack of soundproofing of rooms so you could hear every word spoken By people passing in corridor. Given the price, I'd only recommend it if nothing else comparable were available in the area.

Great Location but not 5 Star hotel
Hotel was in a beautiful setting, very quiet village. Wi-fi signal in rooms was virtually non-existent, so had to sit in reception area to pick up good signal. Staff difficult to locate during the day time. No hot breakfast and cold selection very limited so only took breakfast on the first day. The restaurant in the evening was excellent for both service and the quality of the food.

A rare find
Recently refurbished and situtated in a beautiful village, this hotel is a winner. Good private parking, quiet air conditioning, a generous sized room plus all the spa/pool amenities make this a rare find. The village is an art colony that is clearly popular with Parisiennes for a weekend day out. Hence, galleries open until 5.30pm Sundays and several restaurants from which to choose. The main street is a joy to walk.

Difficult to sleep at the Spa Hotel !
This Hotel is a modern contempory style hotel that is becoming more common in France, and the UK these days. Minimalistic bland decoration,very ordinary food (for France, Micro Waved ? ) and awful Musac in the restaurant. The main problem we had though was our room, number 204. A very comfortable room, but as I lay down to have a nap in the late afternoon, I could hear what sounded like a ships engine throbbing and vibrating the room, weirdly it wasn't so apparent when I stood up ? I called reception and told them about the problem, and they sent a young man to check out it out. He said, Yes, I can hear it, it's probably coming from the air conditioning unit that is used in the Spa below !!! I asked him if he could move us to a quieter room, and he said he thought the hotel was full , but he would ask the manager and call us back. He didn't ! The hotel was certainly not full because the car park was half empty? The sound was there all night and next morning too, but I managed to get to sleep using some Ear Plugs that I fortunately had with me ! Nobody mentioned this to me when I went to the reception to pay for our extras in the morning, and nobody asked me if I had enjoyed my stay with them ? I wont stay there again !

Trop cher pour ce qui est proposé
Hotel 4* Le prix est trop élevé par rapport à la prestation offerte Chambre confortable mais petite tout comme la salle de bain. Rien d'exceptionnel pour le tarif affiché Piscine extérieure tout en longueur qui pourrait être plus souvent filtrée manuellement car beaucoup de feuilles des arbres ce qui n'est pas plaisant lorsqu'on nage. Nous n'avons pas pu profiter du restaurant donc pas d'avis

Le petit déjeuner à 19€ est inadmissible - aucun choix. Wifi non utilisable en chambre Odeur de renfermé dans la chambre Sinon le village de Barbizon est magnifique. On y reviendra mais pas pour l'hôtel ....

Il est urgent d'attendre avant d'y aller
Cet établissement que nous avons connu sous de meilleurs jours, a été malheureusement laissé à l'abandon par des propriétaires apparemment peu scrupuleux qui viennent de le vendre. Alors que la saison démarre la piscine extérieure était fermée et ses abords en piteux état, plus de soins au SPA, sans que cela soit, évidemment, mentionné sur le site. La première chambre qui nous a été attribuée sentait fortement le moisi. Bref loin de ce que l'on attend d'un 4 * à ce prix là. Heureusement la réceptionniste était TOP, elle a fait tout son possible pour nous rendre la vie agréable, nous trouver une nouvelle chambre (super sauf la porte vitrée de la douche inexistante :( ), et nous faire oublier les désagréments. Bref un message au nouveau propriétaire : il y a un gros boulot de remise à niveau sinon l'établissement va couler. Ce serait dommage pour le personnel qui fait de son mieux dans des conditions difficiles. Petit conseil supplémentaire : laisser le SPA et la piscine intérieure en "Adult Only", dans ce lieu romantique avoir des enfants qui braillent de longues heures est juste insupportable.
