“Superb service in a great location”
The Admiral Fell Inn is located on the harbor in Fell's Point, a charming historical area with lovely brick houses and cobblestone streets. The hotel is a historic site itself and in the center of a lively area of shops and restaurants, some of which are first rate. We have stayed several times and never been disappointed. The staff are wonderful--friendly and helpful. The rooms vary in size, shape, and furnishings depending on where they are in the hotel. Each room we've had has been more than comfortable. There are two restaurants in the hotel--Adela, an excellent tapas bar and restaurant, and Mele, which was very disappointing the last time we ate there. We love this place.
“Great location, wonderful front desk, loud room : (”
When we stayed at the Admril, there were power outages, no biggie, the fornt desk was wonderful and very helpful. The rooms were beautiful and very nicely decorated and the location couldn't be beat, you were in walking distance to everything. The only downfall was the noise, you could hear everything that was going on in the hallways.
“Love the ambience”
We enjoy old-style hotels, and this one was quaint and cozy. The location is wonderful, right on the square in Fells Point and within walking distance of everything. There's no need for a car when there are great shops and restaurants right outside the door, and the water taxis are right across the street for a stress-free trip to the Inner Harbor. The only negative was the non-functioning heat/air. The room was very hot despite putting the thermostat on the coldest setting it had - that did nothing. Opening the windows kept us from sweating all night, but then there was street noise so it was a mixed blessing. They really need to address the individual room heating and cooling. We would definitely stay there again, though, and ask for a cooler room.
“Great potential unrealized”
This hotel is in a wonderful location in one of the most interesting neighborhoods of Baltimore. Unfortunately, the rooms in this inn are in desperate need of updating - the beds were not comfortable, the lighting was terrible, the first room we were shown was slightly larger than a closet, etc. Other than having internet service, the rooms were time-wrapped back to the 50's (or earlier). The two restaurants in the hotel were both excellent. Not necessary to pay almost $30 a night for valet parking - parking on the street is ample and free between 8 pm and 10 am the next morning - then $2 per hour.
“Great location and character”
Older hotel but great character, quaint room. Since its old you do hear more as rooms are denser together. Staff was friendly and helped me explore.
“Nice area (during the day !)”
Alot of restarunts and bars in walking distance. Try "The Horse You Rhode In on saloon" good food at good prices, and live music. Also "Luckys Tavern" at Power Plant, great chilli fries! But when the sun goes dowm some shady people come out .A few of the( local homeless)hang out the square across the street .Not a very kid friendly area.
“Loved the Hotel.”
Great location. Really friendly, helpful staff. Highly recommend this hotel.
“An unexpected find.”
I was at the recent IMS Show at the BCC. I could not get into one of the convention hotels and chose the Admiral from an Expedia search. This is an older classic hotel. It was clean and right in the middle of great bars and restaurants. $9-$12 taxi ride to the convention center. Always a taxi near the door. I would stay there again. It was nice not to be near the BCC.
“Nice but not my first choice”
The Hotel is nice and quaint, better for the older generation. I would have preferred to be closer to the Harbor. However, the walk there was enjoyable and we were near lots of entertainment. My biggest complaint would be the room I had. I went through Expedia and saved money, but the size of the room reflected that. Two of us were there and we would bump into each other the whole time we were in the room.
“Good location”
enjoyed my visit there, the staff was helpful, and friendly, great location to the sites, would stay there again.
