Property was great. Staff were lovely, attentive, and very easy to speak with. The room was of fairly good quality and the pool was great. Location is good if you want to stay in a tourist hotspot.

Walkable and convenient location close to the beach and various tasty dining options. Staff at the property are polite and helpful. Unfortunately, the conditions of the room are run down, no hot water for the shower, and stains on towels and bed sheets.

The location was very ideal (close to shops, the beach, food, etc.). The staff were all incredibly nice, helpful and welcoming. I would absolutely recommend staying there for short-time and long time stays (we stayed for 7 nights). I highly recommend the Kirana.

The staff was very friendly. The room was in terrible shape, but the bed was comfy and the ac worked. We stayed in the suit. The bedroom area is open to the living room. Most of the furniture was damaged (or missing as per the photos). The bathroom sinks somehow both leaked onto the floor and clogged. The towel rack fell off the wall. The bath tap was dangling from the wall. The floors were very damaged. The towels and sheets were not very clean (def not bleached, often had stains). Breakfast was tasty. The pool was a good temperature.

Location was great. Staff were generally helpful. We were staying on the first level by the pool and noticed the clearing of drinks and glasses were not frequent. We noticed uncleared tables outside of our room for up to 14 hours. from evening 7 pm right through to next morning when we left. Other than that, hotel is right opposite Milk and Madu which is great!

I stayed in the penthouse suite, the room appointments were quite frustrating, which is really due to the property being aged. I had a private plunge pool but it never got any so barely used it. I had to use the main pool to lay in the sun, and that pool is situated right in front of the restaurant and reception so you basically lay in your swimsuit directly in front of anyone eating. The bathroom or bedroom hasn’t got power points near the mirror so you can’t use your hair dryer - I had to go in the kitchen and use the tiny mirror behind the kettle. The light switches in the bedroom are by the bed but not close enough to switch off from the bed. The coffee cups in the kitchen were tiny, and no cutlery provided, considering the room comes with a full fridge freezer and dining table was annoying. The staff were great and the location was good but for the price was not worth it. Would not stay again

We loved our stay at the Kirana Hotel. It is walking distance to the beach, restaurants, bars, spas and salons. Everyone is very welcoming and the spa services are amazing. We got a free 15 minute foot massage and added a 90 minute Balinese massage and a whole body scrub. The spa services are very affordable and is discounted if you stay at the hotel. The pool is also really nice and is open until 9pm! We loved our stay here and enjoyed the pool a lot after a long day at the beach.

After reading all the mixed reviews on this hotel i was concerned about staying here but the minute i checked in to the hotel all my concerns went away. The room was nice and clean and everything in working order. Staff were also extremely friendly and helpful with any queries. The hotel is well located - the beach is not even a 5 minute walk and lots of shops, places to eat and spas outside your door. I could not fault it in any way. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would definitely consider the Kirana for any future travel. It was great!

the staff and service excellent! Once was a beautiful hotel, however is very tired looking and lots of property items falling apart. example Safe in room falling apart, door handle almost falling off. bathroom sink kept getting blocked, as well as power pointr for kettle not working properly. also light switch falling off near bed.

My room was comfortable and clean. The front desk was very nice and helpful. The dunk pool could use a once over, but I had a nice stay and would stay there again. I highly recommend getting a massage there. It was great!

The staff is great and I liked the location. A bit rundown with the bathroom (bathtub didn’t work and strange smell) and room facilities like the kettle, but most things are in working order. The Internet is not bad, but can go off sometimes, so I went to the cafe a few times, as I was working remotely while staying in Canggu. But the staff was always awesome, so I had a great stay overall.

The hotel's staff was very nice. The breakfast was good. Like most hotels in Bali, the room had quite a few ants in it especially close to the balcony, the cigarette smoke from other guests smoking on their balconies was seeping in to our room from our balcony door and the bathroom in general could do with a scrub (you can tell it was cleaned but there is a lot of calcium and dirt build up in various sections. I would of liked to rate this hotel better but the thing that disappointed me the most was that even though they are aware about everything that is going on with COVID 19 they didn't think twice to tell me there are NO REFUNDS even when I told them we may have to leave 2 days early to catch an earlier flight home otherwise we could be trapped in Bali for months. I think the hotel management should redefine their notion of professionalism and customer service and have more understanding for their guests in these difficult times. At the very lest charge a fee but the fact of the matter is none of the hotels were full, so they were not loosing revenue on the room and we did not sleep there for 2 nights (left plenty of time before checkout).

Great hotel, management requires improvement
The hotel was fantastic. Very comfortable, clean and Would recommend to people to stay there. The only disappointment was the house cleaning service. They threw away my business notes which was place on the side table. It was an important document and of course they could not retrieve it by the time I asked for them. They did not offer any compensation nor discount which made me even more angry. So I would say the management needs to be sorted out.

I was not a fan of this property as it was not very clean or well kept. There was no hot water for my entire stay, although they said that an engineer came to fix it, it wasn't fixed. The furniture (desk chair, bench, etc) was dirty and the room felt very "used". They combine their shampoo & conditioner into one Shampoo-Conditioner bottle which I haven't seen in years, and those never produce good hair results. The upside of the hotel was the 3 course morning breakfast that was included with my room was very robust, and the food was fairly good. I also really liked the Apple/Basil welcome drink I received upon arrival at the hotel. Pretty good location on one of the main strips in Canggu, which made walking to the beach, shopping, getting food pretty easy. They also have a nice concierge that will prompt a taxi cab for you whenever you need it. At the end of the day, the bed itself was clean and it did the job of being a place to stay, but it felt like a 2-3 star hotel in the US, and I wouldn't say I was very comfortable. I also didn't pay that much- maybe $70 USD per night, so that said, I guess I got what I paid for.

Saw the reviews and stars on Hotels.com and thought we are in for a great stay at The Kirana for our anniversary stay but it turns to be pretty disappointing. We waited patiently for check-in albeit putting in a request for early check-in cos' we arrived very early that morning. When we were told the room was ready, we were welcomed with their electrician still fixing the lights, switches and alarms, with the entire floor still in a mess. There was a hole in the wall, the wooden planks on the floor were coming off, old chewing gum stuck on the floor, the bathroom was not maintained, bathroom floor was badly stained, the bathtub couldn't drain, tap knobs falling apart, etc. etc. Requested for a change of room and was told we could only change the next day - well at least the "new room" had a working bathtub. The plus was possibly its location and that our room had direct pool access - BUT the pool was perpetually cold. Not sure I'll return.

The room was large and air con worked very well. Breakfast was huge and good quality. I had a pool terrace room which I had planned on using to lounge around the pool and relax, but there is NO privacy. In fact other people could lie on pool chairs directly outside my doors so therefore I couldn’t even have the curtains open in my room if was in there. On arrival the hotels machines couldn’t read my credit card (which worked perfectly) so told me they couldn’t check me in until i paid and then told me to withdraw cash from the credit card from an ATM. I suggested that as my credit card details were with Wotif that my payment was secured but they wouldn’t accept that. I finally got my card to work in their machine. I’m not sure how this would have been resolved otherwise. The bathroom wasn’t as clean as I would have expected and I had to place the bathmat next to my bed as my feet had dirt on them from walking in the floor and I had to use the mat to clean them before getting into bed. The pillows in the bed were amazing!! Like sleeping in clouds.

Positive Very friendly staff. Negative Mouldy shower floor. No attention to detail with cleanliness. As it is an open motel bugs and lizards crawl through the building. No fly wire doors therefore constant lack of air circulation unless you want mosquitoes in the room.

The staff were very kind and accommodating. The breakfast menu is awesome! My room was clean. I also love the special spa rates they gave me for my stay. When I needed transport to be arranged, they did for me. Everyone is so nice! The location is very near the beach. It is also very near the popular hangs such as Old Mans and The Lawn. Great place! Highly recommended!!

Pros:Good location, great service/great staff, good breakfast and amazing spa. I had an early checkout and the reception volunteered to give me the breakfast in a lunchbox and a wake up call. Cons: The room itself - I stayed in a suite room. It was very basic, not very clean, could see drinks stains on the furniture. The biggest disappointment was the bathroom. The bathtub and the shower we’re worn out and soggy. You could see lime/soap stains for not being cleaned properly. I wouldn’t stay there again.
