Great value in a beautiful location
This property was immaculate, perfect, and beautiful. The owner was so helpful, friendly, and a great host. Brekfast was delicious. Water pressure was great. View and property were fabulous.

This is a very lovely bed & breakfast just outside Florence. It’s absolutely worth it! We’ll be returning next we visit. Easy drive to downtown within 15 minutes and there are nearby restaurants. The hosts are very friendly and knowledgeable about the area.

Such a fantastic experience! We wish we could’ve stayed longer. Tommaso was an incredibly gracious, kind, friendly, welcoming host who made the stay so lovely. The property is set in beautiful surroundings and the room was clean, comfortable and well-equipped. The breakfast was incredible, Tommaso served everyone so well and offered any kind of coffee we wanted, as well as all manner of savoury and sweet breakfast items. My wife is gluten free and Tommaso accommodated this so generously, with gluten free bread and sweets, along with the eggs and other breakfast items. I would highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a beautiful, personal, very enjoyable B&B experience.

This would be our 5th time at this B&B. It is clean, the owner Tommaso is very hospitable, fand very friendly. If you have a car, Florence center is a 10 min. Drive, the villa b&b over looks Tuscan hills which is very nice. All in all, great stay as usual and the basic breakfast is also very good.

Rural retreat 15 minutes from Florence.
Nice B &B style accommodation just outside of Florence, set in a gorgeous rural setting. The rooms are clean and a decent size with a compact modern bathroom and a great shower. Individual choices for breakfast, general continental fare served by the owner. You absolutely need a car here as there's nothing else around. 15 minutes into Florence and there are several local restaurants that we used 5 to 10 minutes away. We particularly enjoyed the large outdoor space, with chairs and sun loungers plus a hot tub, although the hot tub wasn't warm enough to use, we did lay out in the sun a few times. Our only negative comment would be that the property is listed as offering Hotels.com gold member benefits, including a guaranteed 2 hour late check out but when we mentioned this it was the first time the owner seemed to have heard of it and he said it wasn't possible at all. Aside from that we'd recommend this property if you want to stay outside of the centre of Florence.

Perfect road trip stop!
We were welcomed and helped with our bags and then hit the bed - small room but comfortable and warm. Breakfast the next day with Angela was super - cooked to order and delicious!

This would be our 4th time at Poggio Baronte and we love it! Great service, breakfast, and a clean place. Not to mention 15 min. away by car to the nearest car parking and then walk for 15 min. to florence center.

This would be our 3rd time staying @ Poggio Baronti, siply put, we enjoy our time there b/c of great customer service from the owner "Thomaso", great breakfast, very clean villa, room, and bathroom. 10 min drive from Florence city center. We'll be back next year!

This is the best place I've ever stayed in. Thomaso was so helpful. The rooms were impeccable. The scenery phenomenal. It is better to have a car to stay here, and is a five minute drive into Florence. The breakfast was out of this world, I recommend everything at breakfast. Don't hesitate, you HAVE to stay here. It will be the best decision you've made.

We had a wonderful stay! The place is very close to Florence (about 10 minutes by car) but away from the busy crowds and enjoys the beautiful views of the Tuscan hills. The hotel itself is beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean and gives the feeling of staying in a classic Italian villa while enjoying all the modern comforts. King size bed was super comfy, shower was great as we're the towels and other accessories. Good speed wi-fi. Above all Tomaso is a great, attentive generous host with a great sense of humor that was always happy to help with travel tips and recommend wonderful restaurants close by. We will defiantly come back when we return to the area.

A must stay family run B&B !
An amazing little, family run villa in the heart of Tuscany, 3 miles from buzzing Florence. Thomas (the owner) and his mum, made us feel like at home. Delicious breakfast has been made to our order, delicious homemade biscotti, fresh coffee and local cheeses and meat. Absolute must visit, will be definitely back ! Grazie for Your hospitality.

Tomas was the friendliest person my wife and I encountered when we visited Italy in October. I have already recommended him to others who will be using him services later this year. The Rooms were great and modern, we got a free bottle of wine. The views were amazing and the recommended restaurant was excellent. Tomas conversed with us about America and the state of Italy, and was very friendly. The food every morning was fresh and delicious. When we needed taxi's he was a great help in booking those as well. Stay here, you'd be doing yourself a favor.

I and my teenage son were very pleased to stay at Poggio Baronti B&B. I am used to travelling and for 10 years travelled a lot around the world but never experienced a better welcoming this time. I deeply recomend and I do have to say thank you, once again, to Tommaso and Sandra.

Fell in love with this amazing B and B
This is one of the jewels of Tuscany. Tomasso, the manager, goes out of his way to ensure all your needs are met. The facility itself is stunning, from the gardens, with fruit trees, and having the views of the Tuscan sunset was wonderful. The rooms are beautiful. Beds very comfortable, beautiful linens, pillows. Food at breakfast lovely: beautiful omelet with proscuitto and italian cheese, cappuchinos and all the other fresh baking, fruit juices, yogurts. Cannot say enough about this gem. We will return again. You will not be disappointed.

One of the best places we ever stayed at
Stayed at this B&B for 3 nights in September. It's just outside of Florence (about 10 minutes by car), features amazing views of the Tuscan mountains, and the modern house has everything you need. Despite our late arrival, Tomaso greeted us personally and even helped carry our luggage to the room. Tomaso makes you feel at home. Every morning, he prepares an amazing breakfast with help from his family. He also recommended great restaurants in the area (ask him!) and a day tour through Tuscany to Siena. It's a very charming place to stay and probably much better than any place you can find in Florence itself. We would definitely want to come back and also already recommended Tomaso's B&B to several friends.

A little bit of Tuscany paradise
The place is just what I would want from any B&B , it’s better than most hotels I’ve stayed in and I’ve stayed in some good ones!! The attention to detail and the host Was exceptional ! I asked him to organise some yellow roses for my other half and boy did he come through with the most amazing bouquet which put the most beautiful smile on my partners face.. Just to finish of , the breakfast was first class.

Incredible B&B in Chiante.
The location is perfect: nestled in the rolling hills of Chiante just 15-20 minutes from Florence. The rooms are clean and up-to-date with beautiful views from the windows. More than anything, Thomas, the owner and manager was more than kind and helpful. We felt at home. Thomas gave us directions, tips, good conversation, and help with anything we asked. The food in the morning (with a daily cake lovingly made by Thomas's mother) was incredible. Our expectations were surpassed. We highly recommend.

The best B&B in Florence! The owner, Tommaso was wonderful and extremely attentive! The rooms and bathrooms were so clean and modern and the little touches they put into their business make it feel like you are part of the family. Free parking. Delicious breakfast. Fantastic stay!
You can't beat the view! It was in the rolling hills just outside of Florence, great to walk around the area and the bus system is very affordable and simple to use. As for customer service, you are in good hands!

We absolutely loved it ! The staff could not have been friendlier. The room was clean with modern amenities. We ate breakfast there daily, which provided a good insight of local cuisine. Poggio Baronti is in a great location to go visit both Florence and Tuscany. Would definitely stay here again.

I agree with all the positive sentiments in all the other reviews, this is a superb B&B set within beautiful surroundings and run by the most friendly and helpful gentleman you are every likely to meet. The building itself is I think a converted farmhouse, it has a lot of character but inside everything is modern and clean. Room size was good, bathroom facilities were excellent, the communal breakfast area is small but adequate. The location is great if you have your own transport, the Tuscan countryside is right there to be explored and Firenze (Florence) is only 10 minutes' drive away. My advice is to have GPS navigation of some kind with you, it makes the driving experience a lot less stressful.

The Italy you came for is just outside your window
Our host Thomas, was all we expected and more! We're coming up on the first anniversary of our trip and I'm remembering quite fondly his mother's recipe for a breakfast cake of chocolate and pears - scrumptious. We had a fun time figuring out "pear" between our minimal Italian and his impressive but rusty American English. We had a young cousin studying abroad at the time and Thomas' recommendation for our evening meal (for Don's Bistecca alla Fiorentina) with her was perfect. It was nearby but my husband used all his rally car skills to get us parking in close after picking her up in NE Florence in the evening rush. Thomas was quite helpful with our many transportation-related questions. As Poggio-Baronti B&B is at the fringe of the Florence metro area, getting into town with a rental car required insider info. He was frank in his assessment of local transit ("Maybe it will come sometime.") and told us to park at Michelangelo Plaza above the city south of the river. It worked well. There were some German and Spanish guests during our stay, but as it was early in the season Thomas thanked us for the opportunity to brush up on his English. Throwing open the window to take in the cool spring air and scent of blossoms was quite memorable. I hope to coordinate a stay where family takes over all four sleeping rooms and we all meet in the common room in front of the fireplace being "Continental". Thank you, Thomas for all your hard work.
