The entrance is poorly designed and uninviting. The signage directing people to the office is non-existent. The room was clean, bathroom was nicely done and the shower was excellent. The beds were comfortable and the price for the room was reasonable.

Very nice and convenient property. Having beach service for umbrellas and chairs is awesome. Staff was excellent except for 2-3 people who seemed like they didn’t like their jobs.

Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was as expected, clean. Could use better ventilation in the bathroom, towels never dried. Overall good stay and so easy to the beach. Thought the price was high with the additional fees and then an added amenity fee once we checked in.

Fun resort with very comfortable beds. Location is convenient and this resort along with the Icona property offer loads of dining and bar options. Loved it here. Only downside, valet and shuttle can be very difficult during peak times. Recommend self park and Uber for return trips. The shuttle was perfectly fine leaving the resort though!

Having stayed at an Icona property before, I was looking forward to enjoying the pool and hot tub but found the hot tub was overrun by young kids whose parents were nowhere to be seen. When I mentioned this to staff, no one really wanted to take action. The other aspects of my stay were decent from the food to entertainment though we found it silly that they wanted to charge to sit in certain areas of the tiki bar that had nice furniture/fire pit and so that stayed empty. There are a lot of great places to walk to and eat in Stone Harbor.

Fantastic resort, clean, newly renovated. Friendly staff everywhere. Great beach, amenities also great. Good Food no need to go outside the resort the entire time. Will definitely stay there again. Would have liked a map of the resort to better find our way around especially to restaurants etc. But otherwise fantastic!!!

The Windrift has it all.
Hands down the best hotel in Avalon! You can’t beat the beach front, beautiful pool, friendly staff, live music nightly, delicious menu options and beautiful rooms with private terraces. Their recent remodel is beautiful but it still maintains the Windrift vibe of years gone by - a major plus!

The only thing I would tell people is to bring a shower caddy for the shower. There’s only one small shelf inside the shower. At least that’s what our room had.

For $400 a night our balcony base was on a flat roof with a view of HUGE metal vents and loud exhaust blowers. Also room was outside elevator.

A little walk down memory lane
Cannot say enough good things about our stay. My grandparents brought me here 20+ years ago when I was a little girl and they lived at the golden shores condominiums. This year for my birthday, I brought my babies back to visit. The staff was accommodating and friendly. Rooms were clean and inviting. The champagne in the room on arrival was a nice touch and we enjoyed lunch poolside on one of our afternoons there after a nice bike ride and some time at the playground across the street. We also did dinner at the brewery across the street and before we left tried breakfast in the main dining room. Great service and a gem of a beach town. Cant wait to visit again.
