Not too happy
I booked it when I saw a picture of the pool. It costs 15 euros to use. It is a disorganized layout, and when I checked in, ended up schlepping my stuff all over looking for check in. The sauna, I never saw, but I believe it is there. Never saw the pool either. Couldn't find either and didn't get much help in that regard. It seemed very artsy in a good way, just the service and policies left me bitter. If you do book here, there is free parking in front of the b and b hotel next street over...on the street.

Hotel itself could use major renovation. Shower leaked all over the floor and toilet seat was very loose. There was mold on walls. I would NOT recommend this stay. Nothing like the pictures! Hotel restaurant under major renovation ( would prefered to know before booking!). Stay away!! Hotel Does Not Look Like It's Photos!!

The initial view of the hotel was an overgrown courtyard. Apparently It was policy to allow the wild flowers to grow. This was also apparent in the city area. Inside the hotel there were fantastic features with antiques in every corner. The breakfast was good (exept 2 minute boiled eggs). Good transport with tram within stop 50m. The beer garden meals (although limited options) were delicious and the staff friendly and welcoming. The pool was quite large and we used the it daily.

Room for Improvement
Overall, it was a very nice stay, the main entrance to reception was around the back of a building. The hotel is lovely with the decor they have, staff was nice. There isn't much around the hotel except a few stores, but the rail station is not far down the street and takes you directly into city center within about 10/15 minutes. If i was reading it correctly, it looked like you'd have to pay extra to use the pool area and the 2 areas I saw to book a massage or use the pool, were closed.

Decent experience but be prepared for weirdness!
Hotel is fine for one night - decent room but probably a bit pricey, good service, but architecture is very bizarre.

Hotel on outskirts of town, a long way from the centre, close to Autobahn. I stayed here because I was attending a seminar at the hotel. The worst thing was the mattress, so very very hard that I could not sleep. I asked for it to be changed but was met with a firm NO! We do not change mattresses and there is nothing we can do. I think that is a bad policy, there should be some understanding of peoples’ different needs. I would not go back for that reason.

Unfreundliche Rezeption Mitarbeiterin
Leider habe ich ein sehr unfreundliche Dame an der Rezeption getroffen. Sie wirkte genervt und hat nicht mal übers Hotel wo was ist erklärt. Zimmer war sehr kalt da die Heizung nicht funktionierte.

Hatte meinen kleinen Hund dabei . Aber so viel habe ich in bisher noch keinem Hotel bezahlt . Fand ich nicht gerechtfertigt. Sollten Unterschiede gemacht werden und nicht pauschal.

Pas aux attendus : Pas de clim dans la chambre, juste la fenêtre ouverte en plein centre donc à choisir entre bruyance et éclairage public toute la nuit ou un petit peu d'air. Wellness cité comme un point fort dans la présentation mais non accessible parceque soit disant non-inclus dans le prix de la chambre pourtant la 4ème fois que j'y vais sans soucis les fois précédentes. A la décharge de l'hôtel sur hotel.com, aucune information à ce sujet et le SAV n'a même pas su me répondre si c'était inclus ou non !!! Désolant, hotel.com ne sait pas ce qu'il vend !!!

Ich würde dort auf jeden Fall nicht mehr Urlaub machen hat mir nicht so gut ge fallen da morgens das Schwimmbad 6 Euro kostet und nach 17 Uhr 15 Euro da bucht Mann etwas schönes und dann noch nicht mal nutzbar das noch nicht mal ein Tee heiß Kocher nach 3 Tage erst mal kaffe kochen es war nicht so schön

Bien mais peut faire mieux
Nous étions logés dans le vieux bâtiment qui manque de modernité. L'hôtel présentait surtout sur sa fiche l'aile rénové et bien sûr avec le tarif standard, nous avions eu une chambre ancienne mais propre tout de même. Par contre, pas d'accès au spa pour la chambre classique standard

Reception was bad. You have to pay extra for parking. You have to pay extra for swimming pool and sauna. You have to pay extra for breakfast 19.95 euro. Room is dirty. Walls needs surely a new painting. Very old room. Would not book again there.

Hotel ist sauber. Das ist das einzige was positiv war. Wurden im Nebenhaus eingebucht und sogar in der Nacht konnte man jeden Lärm hören. Möbel rücken usw. Wellness wird angepriesen muss man alles extra buchen. Sauna nur angemeldet eingeschalten. Hotel ist zusammen gewürfelt vom Stil her. Ist absolut nicht unseren Erwartungen nachgekommen.

Lieber Gast,wir bedauern es, dass Ihr Aufenthalt bei uns nicht zu Ihrer Zufriedenheit verlaufen ist. Dennoch kommen wir nicht umhin klarzustellen, dass nicht wir Sie im Nebengebäude eingebucht haben. Vielmehr buchten Sie die Standardkategorie. Bei Buchung ist eindeutig zu sehen, dass diese Kategorie OHNE Wellness und Sauna gebucht wird und diese in der Standardkategorie Extraleistungen sind. Sie haben Recht, unsere Saunen schalten wir derzeit nur ein, wenn Gäste auch hinein wollen. Der Grund ist einfach: wir befinden uns mitten in einer Energiekrise und der Klimawandel macht auch vor uns nicht Halt. Daher müssen/wollen auch wir haushalten und reduzieren. Schade, dass Sie dafür kein Verständnis haben, zumal unsere Saunen innerhalb von 15 Min. hochheizen. Zu Ihrem Punkt bezüglich des Stils möchten wir uns nicht äußern, das ist schließlich Geschmacksache. Alles Gute für SieIhr Alpenhof-Team

Tolles Hotel für eine Auszeit der Dienstreise.
