Although next to the train station, the trains go underground as arriving so there are no intrusive sounds. Hotel is close to all forms of transport, walking the beautiful waterfront and dining options. Cute rooms just right for value pricing.
Good facilities and staff. Unbeknownst to us, the street is the location of most of the nightclubs in auckland with loud and endless doof doof music until 4 am, when the drunken louts spill out onto the street vomiting and fighting.
All rooms should have double glazing as we had no sleep at all.
I left my luggage at the concierge and told them to bring my car around in an hour then went for breakfast.
After breakfast, my luggage was in the car ready to go.
Now this is proper concierge service.
Beautifully appointed accommodation. The parking situation is unusual in that there is none at the hotel and there is valet parking. This was not mentioned to us during booking, only at check in. The staff were friendly, but perhaps lacking in some communication. We asked if it were possible for us to check out and if we could store our bags at the hotel while we went for a walk to come back later to then pick up the bags and car for an afternoon flight out of Auckland. Instead, they automatically brought our car to the limited parking area at the hotel potentially blocking the area so we were forced to quickly load the car and get out when we had communicated our desire to pick up the car later. Also we were 5 minutes overdue finishing packing for check out when the staff rang us to check we were leaving.
Excellent location as a starting pint for our cruise. Walking distance to the cruise terminal. Great restaurants and attractions walking distance. Hop on hop off starting point across the street.
