Room was comfortable and warm, Staff was friendly and hospitable. If I make my way back to Auckland, Will highly consider staying here again. Only downside (and I know its not necessarily the fault of the hotel) was that it was noisy some nights due to the bars and clubs over the streets but overall, was a great place to stay! Highly recommend

This hotel is not recommended at all. Dark tiny rooms akin to a cell - and I was assured we had a deluxe room which we paid extra for. They charge an extra $100 bond to cover minibar etc use. There was nothing in the minibar! We also paid for the breakfast option - and they promptly charged us again for the breakfast. Not only unprofessional but untrustworthy. You can do much better elsewhere.

The hotel is sub-standard for most Americans. I knew that I was getting a small room. I didn’t mind that. Finding out that there wasn’t any air conditioning was a shock. The room was very hot when I got there. I had to turn off the heater and it was unbearable for hours. In the mornings and early afternoons I would just sweat a lot. They have a ventilation system where you’re supposed to keep the window open, but it isn’t good if it’s hot outside or the sun heats up the shades. WiFi is bad and their cybersecurity is bad. I ended up getting a virus on my laptop. I did get sun on my windows, but my view was a wall about 8 feet away. That’s it. There didn’t seem to be many customers. If you aren’t full, put them up higher. Or if they’re staying there for a while. The only good thing is the location to nightlife. Lastly, the worst part is that they try and hold $100 incidentals per night upon checking. I was there five nights and they wanted to hold around $330 American. When I wasn’t prepared to have that held. Be careful visiting here. I don’t know if it was a scam. I told them that I couldn’t and they never brought it up again. Even the agent that checked me in. I travel a lot and like to check out local TV a bit. They don’t have a decent TV deal. I couldn’t really see local broadcasts. Just some streaming service. They offer Netflix and others, but you have to use your account and that’s a security risk. Plus most companies don’t allow you to view outside of the country.

Looks like the construction has finished. Staff are lovely. Check-in software seems a bit clunky. Rooms are nice. Apart from the single rooms, very small, and walls thin. Great location, just off K road. A few wilson parking options nearby. Overall great value.

We didnt like the fact we had to wait 20minutes upon arrival to get to our room as there was only one lift in use. When we walked in our room there were 2 staff members sitting in our room talking, the room was still unfinished. There was only 1 curtain when there was meant to be 2. And the bathroom still had tape from paint as well as paint splattered on the wall of the sliding door. The shower floor was sticky from tape residue and the drain for the shower didnt fit so it flooded the bathroom floor. Ontop of this we were advised the bed was a queen when it was only a double to which was very firm and uncomfortable. We overheard staff talking about giving us one of the two nights free for the inconvenience after we advised them about the condition of our room on the first day. However the full amount got charged to us anyway.
