We stayd 5 days to celebrate New Year and our engagement. Perfect location to explore Athens, but dont go furhter then thh excelent Greek Restaurant Minori accross the street (ask for Jonas). From the Wyndham Grand entrance its 10 meters...there is absolutely nothing around the streets surrounding the Hotel but bad streets and crime!! Bware!! After a morning/lunch/afternoon in the City exploring the top locations (acropolis, Plaka, Citi Centre, Musea, Gardens etc) & excelent food arround the whole city etc. retunring to the Wyndham feels like coming home. The staff is very friendly & breakfast is great choice of Greek specialitys (except from the juice bar - not fresh), have the staff teach yu how to make an original Greek coffee (so worth it), the spa service is excellent, we booked the NY Special with 6 course dinner at the ABOVE restaurant with view on the acropolis. In one word: AMAZING food with AMAZING Night View of all the fireworks! If you go ensure your room had acroplis view from lvl 7 or above (we stayed at 8 executive room). Engage with the staff and you find out the warm Greek culture and make personal connections and friends for life. We loved our time in Athens and thank everyone at the Wyndham for making it unforgettable! Happy New Year! Joseph & Claudita
