Thank you for your review, with regards to communication, you queried the check in time on the 26th Feb, I responded on the 27th Feb with confirmation. The bed is a standard double.

I am not keen to make sure you lose your damage deposit, you're the only person responsible for that. Only if there is damage after your visit will I consider retaining some of the deposit. The fact that the duvet cover and bed sheet where unsuable again after your visit means I had to purchase replacements, would you want to arrive to stained bedding? I always do my best to launder and reuse but on this occasion it was simply not possible. With regards to the lack of mobile phone signal and microwave, that information is clear on the website.

There is a public convenience next to the cottage, this cannot be changed. I imagine most walkers find them a great benefit when out for walks in the countryside. It isn't detrimental to the cottage or the quality of the property.

The heating is controlled by two thermostats, one for upstairs at 19c the other for downstairs at 21c. If you have the fire on downstairs and the temperature goes above 22c it will turn off the radiators on the thermostat and so the kitchen will feel colder. It's best to just use the fire to quickly add some heat and then let the thermostat/ radiators heat downstairs. I was there this week and it was perfectly comfortable, but again I guess it is what people are accustomed to.
