Stephanie, Thank you first for choosing to stay with us, you are correct, if you look at our reviews they are outstanding! I just answered 10 top rated reviews and we pride ourselves for our outstanding service and mostly CLEANLINESS!! However, unfortunately your experience was not so, things happen that are out of our control and we are mortified that you had to be the guests to have so many unfortunate things happen to you during your stay! This is very very unusual for us!As the general manager of this property it is my highest priority to provide a clean comfortable stay with the best of guests service for all of our guests. So the first thing I will say is I AM SO SO SORRY for all that you encountered.My staff as well was very upset, as it is very unusual for them to have an experience like this or have an upset guests. Removing your room charges would simply not take away the experience but I hope it shows we wanted to help in someway to show we cared and take something like this very serious. We are a NON SMOKING hotel but cant always control every guests, we are not sure if someone had smoked in the room or just had so much odor from their clothing from smoking that it lingered. In regard to the bugs, As you stated from the many awesome reviews that "Cleanliness" is the most frequent comment you see. But no matter how clean we are we cannot control what is brought into our hotel,No matter how hard we try, just like in our homes. But we can be proactive and do all that we can to stay on top of them. We contract with a professional company and we do monthly services with them, but they as well cannot always control bug sightings or what may come in from the outside.Our goal is to never have something like this happen. We thank you again for choosing to stay with us and certainly understand your feelings and unwillingness to stay with us again but hope if there is ever the need to return to our area that you would give us another chance. I will stand by my hotel as we strive to offer the guests the best experience that we can possibly provide with exceptional staff and service as well as comfortable clean accommodations! I am so sorry again that this was not your experience!

It is very important that we are made aware any time any bug is in a room, we are then able to take action. Unfortunately no matter how perfectly you clean as in our homes we get surprised every now and then , but we take it very seriously. Wow, thank you for the feedback, we are sorry our hotel didn't suit your needs for your stay and that you didn"t like the new bar concept in our lobby, we are typically quiet unless there is a large group in house and during your dates of stay we did have a full house and a few events going on. One being a huge "family" wedding event.As far as the construction it is a very exciting time for us, not run down at all but an improvement as they are adding sidewalks and a bike path past the front of the hotel over to our national park and museum. This has been a long time coming and a big project and improvement for our guests who visit the area. We are sorry for the timing of your stay that you had to have this experience with us, if you refer to our many wonderful comments and feedback from reviews you will see that this is not a typical experience.The majority of our business is "Family" and they love us with weekend stays as well as many events. We hope you will have an opportunity to stay during a quieter time in the future.
