"Great hotel in Antiqua, Comfort,Security,History"
My Wife and I were puzzled about attending a wedding in Guatemala. The trip from GUA airport was easy by a tour Van, and once in Antiqua we were comfortable and at- Ease with all of our concerns. The Hotel Staff was there to help with anything. The grounds were absolutely beautiful, and well cared for. A good selection of room size was available making our 3 day weekend very pleasurable. The Wedding ceremony (Onsite) had an ageless elegance about it, due to the surroundings. After nightfall there were over 6,000 candles adorning the fountains, chapel, ruins, and pathways, making it a truly unbelievable experience. On the hotel rooms, The property maintains a water filtration system making the water drinkable, and the room lighting is minimal, allowing for a timeless experience.

Booked into El Convento for 3 nights as a little get away, and the place looked even better in person that it did on the internet. Me and my girlfriend are massive fans or architecture and the hotel ground blew us away. The fire place in the room was a great touch, as was the warm "arroz con leche" that they bring round at supper time.
Great location, a short work to all you would want to see in Antigua. I also took a tour which was partly arranged by the man on the door (sorry I forget his name), and it was out of this world, as the hotel for a guide and they will point you in the right direction.
The restaurant was off great quality also with an amazing ambience, live music one of the nights was perfect and the food was top class.
I went to visit my son who works in Guatemala teaching English. We found many interesting things to do and learned a lot of history about Guatemala. We visited the chocolate factory, went on a boat tour, visited the old churches and the hand weaving of garments.
Staying at Hotel Soleil was one of the most satisfying and enjoyable places I've ever stayed at. I've been from Australia to Spain, Thailand to Russia, and this was one of the best hotel I've ever stayed in. In no way was my stay negative and I not only recommend staying there, but look forward to visiting again in the future. The staff was great, the food was wonderful, and any tour or excursion you want can be booked right there with their hosipitable tour agent.

We stayed at Casa Encantada for 10 days. We loved how authentic the hotel was. If you want to feel like you're staying at a local, charming home this is a great choice.
What we enjoyed:
1. Breakfasts in the terrace were delicious and complimentary. Our waitress was Maria Augustina, and she was so pleasant. There are about 6 main breakfast options but we would modify dishes and order extra items at no additional charge.
2. We ordered room service, which is brought from the main hotel around the corner and can be charged to your room. Delicious seafood.
3. The small hotel likely has 9 rooms from what I could tell, and every main area is kept very clean. I loved how tiny the place was.
4. The location is about 4 blocks from the main plaza so we walked everyday to everything.
5. The trip to Tikal that the hotel organized for us was great! Early AM pickup with a driver, flight to Flores, tour guide, lunch, and drop off back at the hotel was all included in the packet. It was great!
6. The entire staff is so accommodating. You can tell even the driver is hoping you will come back.
What a great place to stay! I'm planning to come back next year for Christmas! It's gorgeous there.
The hotel is a nicely appointed boutique hotel. It is within walking distance of the public square and markets.
There is a great restaurant just a short walk around the corner from the hotel. The staff is very friendly and attentitive to the guests needs and will provide whatever you need upon request. The breakfast on the roof top terrace is worth the price.
The rooms are large and well appointed.
If there was anything I can say that disappointed us it was the water supplied to the showers. It just wasn't hot enough. It was a cold rainy weekend when we stayed. After being out all afternoon and getting caught in the rain we were looking forward to a HOT shower but instead the water was just warm. I suppose if it was a typical Guatemalan day, hot and humid, the water would have felt great.
Other than that, it was a very enjoyable stay and we would recommend this hotel to everyone looking for a small, comfortable boutique hotel that includes secure parking, a wonderful breakfast, internet, and personalized service.
We were really happy with our experience from check in to check out. While the accommodations were first class, the staff were the best part. Everyone was extremely friendly and more than accommodating. After a long day of walking around the city, the hotel was the perfect place to have a bottle of wine in the courtyard and relax.
The location is right by the arch and close to all the major attractions.
Lovely hotel within walking distance to Parque central. Awesome comfortable mattresses, well ventilated rooms, nice terrace and a couple of private courtyards. The place was probably a home in the past now converted to a hotel. Their breakfast was tasty. The People at front desk were friendly and helped us organize our trip to lake Atitlan and return to the airport. You could get a cheaper price if you went to the Collectivo stand but the price of the transport arranged by the Hotel was reasonably priced.
The Hotel is not really close to Parque central but not very far either. i would say a 10 minute walk at the most or even lesser. Highly recommend the hotel for a Unique experience.
