A real gem
This was one of the best hotels I have stayed. The staff are all friendly, it is well loated l, being just a short walk to the main area of Juan Les Pins. The pool was relaxing, clean and enough sunbeds for all the guests. Our flight got cancelled and the hotel were happy to accommodate us for another 5 nights, having switched things around to fit us in. A lovely find, I will definitely return.

Amazing hotel. Would highly recommend. Tranquil. Pool amazing with beautiful surrounding garden. Very personal hotel. Staff friendly and has a real family feel as they really do look after you. Bedding and towels changed daily. Personally they could reduce the frequency they change bedding.

Lovely hotel
The hotel was lovely and staff were very friendly. Breakfast was good and it was a bonus to have the swimming pool which was really nice. The only thing I would say is the bedroom decor was a bit dated but that didn’t matter to us. A delightful, typically French Hotel, Will defo go back

Impeccable 10/10.
Excellent hotel. Hotel is a little dated but has a lot of charm. The service and staff are impeccable 10/10, the swimming pool is such a bonus situated with a very pretty garden. Breakfast is good and the general location is peaceful but within a short walk of the beach. Should be noted that there is no lift but there's only two floors anyway so not a major issue.

Loved the women at the front desk but the younger make early morning attendant was so rude to me. He did not speak English and got so mad at me when I kindly asked him help me with my luggage as I just had surgery. He refused until I asked again then literally cursed at me. There is no elevator at Mimosa so if you have heavy luggage this is not the place for you as there are a lot of stairs and no attendant. The hotel is charming and clean but it's a solid 20 minute walk to get the the heart of the action. Waterfront is less far perhaps 13 minutes but there are not many restaurant choices immediately on that part of the strip. You must walk everywhere as it is impossible to quickly find a taxi or Uber.

GARBAGE "Hotel"
Utter garbage! Run down, nasty hotel. Carpets on top of carpets to cover the holes in the lower carpets. Hall lights you have to constantly turn on manually, NO handicap parking. Have to put your "pool" towels on a clothing line after use ON the other side of the hotel (can't make this up!). Banister ready to fall off your multi-level Walk-UP to your tiny room with narrow bathroom and a mattress made in the 1950s. But the intensely bad attitude of the night manager who yells out his window at you makes up for it! The only bright spot was a pleasant woman who works during the day. Otherwise the world would be better if this place was bull dozed and made into a parking lot

Our carperts are orientals and high quality if you prefer standard hotel without personality effectively it is not our hotel - we offer you towels : we are sorry for this free service !

The staff were extremely friendly, check in was quick and they walk you to your room and open the door for you. The room was clean and simple and had great air conditioning. I would of liked a coffee station in the room and the bed was very hard.

Dated and needs better quality bedding (and what ever it’s being washed in is awful) and bed was super uncomfortable. Staff is nice but feels like they are forced to be. It’s a very French focused attitude not very universal. Sits on a high steep hill and no lift with a small staircase. Grounds and pool are beautiful. The lounge/bar area is non existent it should not even be an amenity. WiFi did not work the whole time I was there as well. Too bad the outside really should match the inside and this place could be five stars.

the pool was tremendous , a lot of parasols and sunbeds. breakfast on the terrasse very good. lots of free car-parking spaces. quiet area, easy located for walking to Juan les Pines. :-( 2 flights of stairs to 2nd floor with no lifts and no person available to carry suitcases. i would suggest you check out with reception where your room is located before committing .

Still lovely
We hadn't stayed at the hotel for 3 years but it lived up to all our expectations. Whilst the accommodations are relatively basic but comfortable, the aspect of the hotel that makes us return again and again is the pool and its small beautifully maintained surrounding area. If we had one suggestion, we would make it adults only. Most of the residents tend to go for relaxation, peace and quiet. We wouldn't dream of going when kids were on holiday. The food in Juan les Pins and Antibes not as good as in previous years and with the pound v euro so negative currently, it was expensive to eat out.

Beautiful hotel on the outside, very tired on the inside. Our room was very small and the bed was no difference. The bed was double but too small that my feet were outside the bed. The balcony was over looking nothing and full of insects which bit me repeatedly. The hot water was missing for 4 days but it was finally fixed. The room was very dated and tired. The swimming pool was the highlight of our stay. It was a good place to sunbath and soak up the sun. however make sure you get up early and lay your towels on the deck chairs otherwise you will miss out. Honestly, for a £100 a night I think it is expensive but it is the going price for that area.

Dear Sir, thank you for your comment. Just to say that you have originally booked a small room with shower at the back of the hotel at the lowest price.. You had an upgraded room with bath and shower and a little balcony at the side - air conditionning - little fridge - free parking and free access to the pool - as well as towels for the pool - for 50€ per person. We had a problem with hot water at the end of the day but it has been fixed.Franckly we all hope we will find a another better place which will fit your requirements. All best - Sylvie Reception

Nice hotel close to beach
Lovely hotel in good position. Only 5 minutes walk from beach and can walk to Antibes as well. Gorgeous pool area surrounded by trees. Very comfortable beds.

Nice and quiet hotel.
I highly recommend this hotel when staying in the area. I booked another hotel in Juan les Pins for our first night closer to town. It was one of the highest rated hotels on Expedia in the area, and I was disappointed with my stay there. Hotel des Mimosas was much less expensive and we really enjoyed our stay. I have stayed at this hotel at least five times and I have never been disappointed.

We had a very basic room in this dated hotel but was in a good location. Had free parking which was a great bonus and a lovely pool and pretty gardens. No frills in our room but good air con .. very small room and very dated. Staff very helpful.. close to beach and restaurants.

Authentic charm
Charming French hotel with helpful staff. It's located close to Juan les Pins seafront and walking distance to the train station. Stunning pool and gardens- very quiet and relaxing! I would definitely stay again.

Charming French hotel.
A warm welcome from the owner and her daughter. The hotel has been family owned and run for 40 years. The room was spacious and comfortable. The hotel is decorated in classic french, so it's very charming and really lifts the spirit.

Oasis of calm
Hotel des Mimosas is set in beautiful grounds and is a building of great character and charm. The infinity swimming pool with ample sun beds and umbrellas is a huge attraction. There are also tables and chairs with umbrellas by the pool for taking breakfast or afternoon tea. There is ample parking within the grounds. The whole place has an air of peace and tranquility though just a few minutes walk from the sea front, shops and local restaurants. It is also walking distance to Antibes and close to the station for trains up and down the coast. Staff at the hotel are very helpful and nothing is too much trouble. Some rooms and beds are on the small side and bathrooms could do to be updated but they are perfectly functional. Breakfasts are of a high quality and afternoon tea is served in a beautiful china pot & china tea cups. No lunches are served but it is possible to bring food into the hotel. There are plenty of local shops for pastries, baguettes, fruit, etc. All in all a fantastic place to stay.

Shows promise but rudeness is a big negative.
Positives are a great pool and plenty of parking space. Room is clean and has everything you need but is at the back of the hotel so you don't really have any view. I stayed here and drove 15-20mins to the cannes film festival. Main lady at the daytime desk was helpful and always polite. The same cannot be said of the night time porter or the old woman that sometimes mans the desk. I found her to be extremely rude when I queried the extra costs. The night time porter was always annoyed when I returned late and woke him up from his sleep! This has really put me off future stays. Also beware that the hotel doesn't take the full booking but a deposit and you have to pay the rest on departure. I wasn't told of this from either hotels.com or the hotel themselves. This hotel has potential to be great but certain staff and practices really let it down.

This was our second visit to Hotel des Mimosas we booked the Bungalow in the grounds but because of the recent inclement weather we were switched to a lovely terraced room within the hotel. The hotel is quite old fashioned but stylish, as if you have stepped back in time into 1930s French Riviera. A quiet hotel with most guests being 50+ although this year we did see some families. We paid extra for Continental Breakfast which was really worth the 10 euros and an additional 4 euros gets you a lovely omelette...a great start to the day. The bathroom in our room was a bit small but serviceable. Overall we enjoyed our stay the staff are very friendly, speak good English and make you feel very welcome.

Good location. Pool area great. Plenty of sunbeds and gardens around the pool are lovely. Rooms need updating. Ours was small but had a balcony. Rooms with terraces are the ones to book if you are thinking of going to this hotel.

Lovely hotel in good location. Close to transport links and the beach. Lovely staff who were very helpful. Enjoyed the pool which is in a lovely setting. Good value for money given location.
