The lady that’s running the Hotel was lovely. Made sure I was happy before she left me to it. Very comfortable bed. Would definitely stay again.

We received excellent service all round from a team of kindly and helpful people. They made us feel genuinely welcome and nothing was too much trouble. The property is beautifully decorated throughout.

we were only here for one night as a stop over on our way to Inverness. We were made to feel really welcome and the staff were friendly. The family room was perfect and immaculately clean. Really impressed when the staff (very politely) stopped a guest bringing their dog (not a guide dog) into breakfast room. Location was convenient for the town centre and we went for a walk along the river which was really friendly with lots of wildlife.

Gorgeous Home With A Few Glitches
Our first night in Scotland was spent in the quaint little town of Annan. Gorgeous old village that almost felt haunted. Upon arrival, we were immediately impressed by the home's condition. It was absolutely gorgeous. Well-maintained and beautiful decor caught our eye at every turn. The room had a modern vibe and everything was very organized. They even allowed you to put in specific breakfast order specifications--a nice touch. But, I have to say that 2 minutes after walking in the door, we were immediately accused of not listing all 5 members of our family on the reservation (which we had done). In other words, their concern was that we hadn't paid enough. I showed proof of the correct reservation and it was later revealed that they were wrong and had confused us with another future guest. But, I have to make note that it is not good customer service to welcome a family with this. Later, we did have a late night allergic reaction issue with the all feather linens (which should also be specified on your listing). They did come up and help to resolve this situation which was greatly appreciated. Lastly, and probably the biggest issue was the absolutely terrible shower. It is the tiniest enclosed shower in existence followed by no water pressure and zero hot water. There is a sign up stating that they are working on resolving this issue, but that doesn't help current guests. I loved the home and the breakfast food and service was superb! A few tweaks could make this top notch.

My room was on the first floor at the front of the building with a street view,and what a beautiful room it was! It was a large room with a bay window and a four poster bed -- -such luxury. Angela made me very welcome.I ordered my breakfast the night before and when I arrived for it Angela started to cook the hot food so it was hot and very tasty.when served. I would most definitely recommend this guest house to friends and family.

Very nice guest house with lots of character.
The hosts are very friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was first class and plentiful and the coffee excellent. Plenty storage if you intend to stay longer. The bathroom is of good size with good quality toileting products. I thoroughly recommend this hotel.

The owner went out of her way to change the breakfast for my daughter who is GF. She also recommended a restaurant for an evening meal, which turned out one of the best meals we had over our weeks holiday in the western isles of Scotland.

Charming rowhouse with character!
We stayed one night as we were merely passing through, but felt right at home. Angela the proprietor greeted us at the door and was gracious and attentive. Those who appreciate historic buildings and craftsmanship will enjoy the entranceway and communal living room. An easy walk to the modest downtown of Annan.

Town was a bit sad and down at heel, but central to lots of good places to visit, Hotel was excellent, good location to walk into town and quiet. Good breakfasts too.

We had a comfortable room on the lower level, thank goodness. We had lots of luggage for a 12 day trip. Angela was exceptionally sweet and accommodating. Breakfast was great!

Perfect!
Visiting family in Annan for first time and Rowanbank is in an excellent location. Lovely B and B. Large, clean, bright room, very friendly owner and staff. Delicious breakfast. Definitely staying there again!

Great central B&B
The Rowanbank is a lovely B&B. A lovely building which has a very welcoming and comfortable feel. Our family room was very roomy and comfortable, and our daughter appreciated biscuits along with the tea & coffee. Breakfast was lovely and our hosts very friendly. The Rowanbank is central with just a few minutes to walk to the town, the football ground (important for my husband), the local swimming pool and station. It is an ideal base for exploring the Solway coastline and the forest trails, wetland centre and castles locally.
