The property's views were great, and the Hotel was close to the town center. The main breakfast area and restaurant were very nice. Several issues were not apparent until we arrived at the Hotel. First, the main Hotel has a different name and is separate from this portion of the property. You must climb about 80 steps to get to the main hotel area. The steps leading up to the Hotel are not part of the property; they are dirty allies with steep steps. The included breakfast was so so, with no hot items, and you had to pay extra for eggs. The sink was not flushing when we arrived, but the issue was corrected once we told the front desk. There were several spiders in our room and the bathroom.

We loved our stay here. The rooms are beautiful, clean, and comfortable, and the views from our balcony were stunning. The hotel staff was also very friendly and helpful. The hotel is on the top of the hill, but it was easy to walk to and from the town via the main road.

Avoid room 603. Like us, you may be lured by the economy of this basic room but upon arrival you will quickly be asking for an upgrade . Thankfully they were able to accommodate our request a few hours and a few euros later. The restaurant is fantastic.

Staff could have been more helpful and friendly. Did not let us know there were fees for the beach towels, etc. There was a small leak in our bathroom faucet and ants in the bathroom.

Wonderful experience to have your own apartment, but still be able to have the service and amenities of a hotel. Location was perfect, close to restaurants, shopping and transportation, but still private and relaxing. Staff was amazing at every level...would highly recommend and can't wait to come again!

Great location. Staff is amazing. I think that it is a little over prized. Only cons are that some amenities are too old, as an example: the TV: we have to call the hotel staff 3 times to make the TV work. There was a little mouse in the property, but it looks nobody bothered to get a trap for it. It was very little mouse, but still. Again, the staff is great, which makes our stay better.

Great room. Terrace was not usable during the day without an umbrella. Need to add one! Also a full length mirror would have been nice! But we loved our stay

I loved the terrace in the room and the staff were all superb, extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very tasty and had plenty of options, both healthy and sweet. The room was relatively clean, though the shower could have had more water pressure.

Great view, insane walk.
Everyone was super nice, the view is fantastic, but the walk!!!!! Thank goodness for porters!! Plan to spend whole day down below so you can avoid multiple trips. Also eating dinner in town is basically not an option. Also thank goodness for room service if you're tired!! And also thank goodness for the young man who lugs your suitcases to the road!! Oh, and walls were super thin. Ear plugs!!

Great stay in a lovely hotel
We had a lovely time at Conca d'Oro and Villa Giovanni. The view from the hotel is amazing and the sun deck stunning. I would probably book a regular room in the actual hotel next time, even though the villa rooms were grand, the view was not as good. It's in a great area close to everything, the service is perfect, food great and we would stay again. Unfortunately, their internet is not great and it's good to keep in mind the hotel looses the sun around 16.00.

The hotel is not known as it is advertised, you need to check in at a sister hotel, similarly there is no bag service from the port so it costs €10 per bag to and from hotel unless you want to carry your babe up 500 steps or so to the hotel.. The staff were pleasant, although the Italian idea of customer service differs somewhat when it comes to flexibility. Although the photos show what appears as a reasonable size pool, pool lounges are included on the list of amenity, and it comes up as having a pool on the filter - this is misleading as it is at best a small jacuzzi -and located at the sister hotel - breakfast is ok but you must pay for anything egg based; otherwise food experience pretty average at hotel - wifi was very average to non existent - staff were helpful with organising dinner bookings and bike hire. It is on the outskirts of Positano so if you want to be in town...,

Villa Principe Giovanni / Conca D'Oro is a super nice Hotel. Location is perfect. Very quiet, and the Sea View is amazing. Totally worth. Having a glass of wine, dinner and the balcany was an amazing experience. Super comformtable and the hotel service is very good.

Room with a View
Excellent hotel, excellent staff. The room has fantastic view with a big terrace. Very close to the town centre. Room was very clean and the bathroom has Jacuzzi... Over all we had a very good experience. I would defiantly recommend this hotel.

Very nice location, great view over the sea / bay. Quite a lot of stairs, be prepared for that. Old house, you will hear everything that happens in the hall / other rooms quite well, and no dark curtains (sun gets into your room from early morning) / do not expect to sleep long in the morning.

Pessima villa principe Giovanni,buono conca d'oro
Per fortuna abbiamo richiesto di cambiare camera e siamo stati spostati all'hotel conca d'oro , stessa proprietà ma molto più confortevole ! La "suite" con vista mare della villa principe Giovanni è una specie di cantina con puzza di umido e muffa con vista mare possibile solo arrampicandosi sulla ringhiera !bagno senza finestre con acqua della doccia tiepida! Infine x la colazione bisogna uscire ed andare al conca d'oro .... Che vuol dire 250 gradini a piedi su un'altra strada e sotto la pioggia al mattino non era il massimo !!! Bisogna informare bene le persone , non prenderle in giro !!!! Conca d'oro hotel ok!! Villa principe Giovanni di "Villa " ha veramente poco !!!
