The Octant Vila Monte is a beautiful hotel set into the countryside about 4-5 miles from the beach. As soon as we arrived we felt relaxed and peaceful as the hotel, its grounds and our room were presented beautifully. The staff in all areas were so kind, friendly and helpful and went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. The breakfast was outstanding with fresh produce and a stunning view and the hotel restaurant served amazing food each day. The adults only po was t heated but with the sunshine that wasn’t a problem. I borrowed a bike to cycle into the local towns which was a great addition. All in al, highly recommend - we’ll be back as soon as we can!

This was an unexpected outstanding property. The grounds are magnificent. The rooms are lovely and very well appointed. And the staff were all super friendly. We absolutely loved this place and would highly recommend it.

Vila Monte was simply spectacular! The rooms were spacious and beautiful and the grounds were breathtaking! Rui and Oliver at A Terra were so sweet, Ana from housekeeping was just lovely, and Bruno at eh pool was just great! We will definitely be back again but next time stay longer!!

The hotel is amazing, great breakfast, the staff was super kind. It was in was in the beginning of October, so the weather was still very nice to swimm :) During my stay I felt like it could be a 5 star hotel. The decoration is so simple, and at the same time beautiful. Well done :)

Amazing & special place to stay! We really enjoyed our visit to this hotel and we were made to feel special from the moment we arrived. The staff here are phenonemal and will make you feel so looked after. The grounds are beautiful and in a rural setting, its a drive away from visiting the towns and attractoons but if you want to repax, then this is perfect The restaurant was really good, with options to suit any budget. The fresh cookies & cocktail invites were such a lovely touch!

The hotel is relatively small with rooms being separated into three different buildings. This means that each block has its own individual ‘cosy’ atmosphere. The buildings are located in beautifully landscaped areas. We were made very welcome on arrival and throughly enjoyed our stay.

My husband and I stayed at Vila Monte on our honeymoon and had the absolute best time!! They made our stay so special. The staff were amazing. We loved both the restaurants! I have multiple food allergies and they totally catered to everything. Everything we had was delicious and they had a fabulous local & international wine selection. We could not get over how stunning the grounds were! There was so much thought put into the landscape design, the gardens, and the rooms. It is such a special place and we plan to return!

Wonderful, tranquil yet family friendly place
Absolutely wonderful, serene place to stay in the hills above Olhão. A quick drive into town but a world of luxury away. Wonderful and you get what you pay for in life! Both restaurants at the hotel fantastic too.

Lovely stay!
Overall, our stay was fantastic! The property is beautiful and incredibly well manicured. We were only passing through for one day but were able to take advantage of the pool, gym, grounds and lovely restaurant! The food is incredible. The property is inland a bit, so would only recommend a few days to avoid cabin fever. :)

Outstanding Hotel..
Outstanding hotel, the most wonderful staff, extremely attentive nothing is ever too much trouble, extremely high attention to detail in every sense, I cannot fault anything in any way, I only wish that my stay was longer. We loved Vila Monte, the lovely grounds, excellent staff, very relaxed atmosphere. It was a green oasis amid a very arid surrounding landscape. We did not spend much time using the hotel's facilities, but a car was necessary to visit the local towns and coast. We were disappointed with our room(Room 6) although it was only a standard double room, we would have expected a chair in the room as when we were in the room we could only sit/lie on the bed. It was also situated a little out of the way, next to the cleaners room,under trees and with no sunlight or view. (Not one of the better rooms) We ate in the A Terra restaurant twice and felt it was not good value for money - expensive. Again staff very friendly. Breakfast was very good, and staff extremely friendly and helpful. We ate in Moncarapacho, about 5 minutes drive, at Antonio's and Restaurant Da Ana, both very good and very reasonable prices. All in all a lovely hotel, but not keen on the room.

This place is just wonderful, the staff, the hotel, the grounds are all excellent. The rooms are fresh and modern with high end accessories, hats and bags for your use during your stay and an umbrella! The overall site is extremely well kept and clean. The food is also very good, try the homemade bread.
