Thought that the interior fittings and furniture was looking somewhat tired and dated. The wooden tables etc. were very chipped and marked.

The location was great, staff were amazing - very helpful and friendly. Great value for money, feel rooms need refreshing, decor is obviously tired, balcony wall needed plastering and painting but all perfectly functional and clean and as stated value for money.

We had a wonderful time in Olhos D'agua. The Oceanus fit our bill perfectly. Our room was kept impeccably clean by lovely staff. Not fancy but very comfortable...fun entertainment Monday and Thursday evenings. I would definitely return and recommend to others.

A pleasant hotel
We were in the Oceanus for 3 nights in summer 2023. Overall it is clean, the staff very friendly. It is basic, the decor a bit dated but I would have no complaints. There is a lovely outdoor pool with all day food that is quite cheap. There is a kitchen in your room so you can cook in or eat in the many many restaurants. There are so many pubs and restaurants nearby and it is a very convenient base for so many day trips in the Algarve. It was maybe 40 minutes Uber from Faro airport. Finally the staff were excellent. Really really friendly. It’s also ten minutes walk from the beach.

Great location in quiter area just outside Albufeira. Staff very friendly. Accommodation kept very clean. Buffet breakfast adequate. Could do with greater selection. Beds are a bit on the firm side.

A simple but clean hotel close to restaurants and a 10 minute walk to the beach. Rooms are a bit dated but overall a good budget hotel in a convenient location for touring the Algarves.

Our stay was brilliant - we were upgraded from a studio to a one bed roomed which was lovely. Jacquelina on reception was amazing and so friendly. The Oceanus Snack Bar across the road by the pool was nice and clean and the food was excellent. All the staff were very friendly. Will definitely stay here again.

The most friendly staff!
The recepcionist, Senhora Jaque was extremely friendly! She allowed us to check-in a couple of hours earlier which was great since we were so tired - it was a treat! The pool was fun for my child and the Sr. Filipe, who works at the Snack Bar, is very friendly as well.

The Oceanus was a great place to stay. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Nice and quiet to recharge your batteries. 2 large swimming pools and about 15 minute walk to a excellent beach. Short walk to the restaurants and bars. Highly recommend.

Located near the beach, it is a short walk to the sand and enjoying an ice-cold drink overlooking the deep blue waters. In for a bite? Just around the corner there are a handful of restaurants, each competing with the other on great food and great attention. The supermarket is a 3 minute walk away and stock your fridge with anything of your licking to enjoy the leasures of the balcony.

Very comfortable apartment, friendly staff and lovely swimming pools. Close to Olhos d'aqua beach and about a 20 min walk to Praia do Barranco which is stunning. Within a fee minutes walk of restaurants, shops & suoermarkets and bus stop to Faro, Albufeira & other beautuful beaches in the Algarve.

An absolutely beautiful hotel staff were very nice and very helpful. The rooms were spotless maid service everyday towels changed every other day if in 7 day sheets changed half way through could not fault at all 😊😊😊

Very clean hotel, maids would be round everyday with fresh towels and to make the beds. I was not 100% with the continental breakfast so we ordered breakfast which was okay and we went out for breakfast. Pools are clean and plenty of sun loungers. Indoor pool you need to wear a swim cap €3. We would return to this hotel, and would upgrade to the superior bedroom!

I have stayed here before,so new area,getting a bit tired looking,although bathroom was new,single bed uncomfortable and almost like a cabin bed,staff at reception not very helpful or friendly,noisy singer on which felt as he was right underneath my room.I think midnight is too late too have a singer on,not everyone stays in late.ill probably not go back

No frills, comfortable & clean - ideal short stay
Just home from 3 nights at Oceanus with a friend. It was a good location for a short stay, the area is quiet and we weren't looking for nightlife. There seems to be confusion as to whether this is a 3 or 4 star hotel, as the entrance has 4 stars but some signs in the hotel had a mix of 3 and 4 stars. This is definitely a 3 star hotel. We stayed in a studio apartment that was in a 2nd building separate to the main hotel reception (we wondered if it had been a separate hotel that Oceanus had recently purchased?). The room was comfortable and clean. However, I would recommend providing a sponge and washing up liquid to wash dishes. We had stated on our booking that we were celebrating our 40th birthdays, this was not mentioned until our departure when the Receptionist read from our booking, asked if we received anything and apologised when we said no - bit disappointing but not a big deal! The pool area is clean and there were plenty of loungers, it seemed quite quiet but I don't normally holiday in May so this is maybe normal. The breakfast was poor with very little choice and the coffee was awful - it was in a pump flask, luke warm and tasted awful! I wouldn't recommend paying B&B, as there are lovely restaurants around or supermarkets close by where you could buy your own. I would return for a short break (3/4 days), room only, with a friend but not with children, as I feel they would be bored.

We were staying in an annex building so had to walk right round to get to the main block. Towels for swimming you had to BUY there were no loan towels. One of the receptionists had a bad cold and he was really grumpy and miserable, when our air conditioning unit was blowing out cold air all night I was told by this receptionist that it couldn’t possibly be cold air, so we froze all night! In the morning we spoke to another receptionist and he sent maintenance to fix it. It’s things like this that let a nice hotel down!
