Awesome location in the center of Lagos. Great access to restaurants, transportation and the beaches. Disappointed with the accommodations. Air conditioning did not work and was not repaired. Dishes and counter top was greasy and dirty. There is no hot water plumbed to the kitchen sink or a stopper for the sink. There is a musty smell that staff tried to resolve by opening the window. The fridge is a drink fridge that is not cold. The blind in the bedroom was broken and fell off the wall. Outside the neighbours air unit is very loud, hence difficult to have the window open (issue of smell vs noise). Staff tried to be accomodating but did not hear back from anyone after the first 2 hours of being in the room. Room was a good size with a quirkly layout. No sitting area other than a dirty kitchen table. Hard to recommend the property. The location and price was good. You need to be prepared to clean and spend the majority of your time outside (which is not hard to do here).

This is a great location but not a great place for parking. They advertised free client parking but it means find your own free parking. This place is in the middle of old town which is great for walking but not for driving. Not being familiar with the town means it was next to impossible to navigate the labyrinth of narrow one way streets. They gave us a map to try and point out parking 5 minutes away but good luck finding it on your own. Luckily a nice local driving saw us lost and guided us to the free parking area. It was a good 5 minute walk back to the hotel and is an issue if you have any sort of disability as the walk is hilly and windy - also wasn’t much fun dragging out luggage back to the hotel. Wish they would have been more upfront about the “free parking”. However, the lady in charge saw I was not impressed and offered us a free breakfast and let us choose the balcony room to our liking. We chose the room on the third floor which has the walkout balcony and allows you to sit out and people watch while enjoying a cold beverage. I would have given the place a 5 star if parking was better and they were more up front about it. The staff is also excellent and friendly and the lady in charge really did feel badly about the parking situation. I think she just runs the place so it probably is not her job to correct the parking information on Expedia. Overall, this is a great place.

Spacious, elegant, clean, quiet studio apartment in the center of the city. With attention to a few small issues (shower head bracket, kitchen tap, latches on balcony doors, more kitchen utensils), the apartment could rate 5 stars

Huge Studio.
The study is a huge almost apartment with all you need to stay. You can cook and heat food in the microwave. It has a fridge. Full bathroom and a living room. Location is unsurpassable. Right in downtown. Close to everything.

The place smelled of sewage. Everytime the door would open it was overwhelming and hard to ignore. The AC was leaking and there were puddles on the dining table. It was an affordable option for the area though and very walkable to all the attractions.

Good price for central location
Large studio. Large king size bed, kitchen with one induction burner, microwave but no oven, small fridge. Good shower. Fairly clean. Right in the middle of town so close to everything, but still quiet. Hard to beat for the price.

Right in the city center of Lagos, close to shops, restaurants and beaches! Beautiful terrace overlooking a square where there is live music - I had a wonderful stay and would recommend it

Just a horrible place and host! AVOID!!!
Avoid at all cost!!!! The room is completely different than on pictures, smelly, dirty, springs come out of mattress, ac not working and cold water!!!! The host was so rude that we had to check out not to spend any more second in that awful place. He shouted during breakfast in front of everyone because he said that it was not included in our stay despite a clear “breakfast included in your stay” in the confirmation. Unfortunately hotels.com did not manage to help in this situation and we were charged for the whole stay while we check out after one sleepless night because of old mattress and smell.

All the guest wrote no not have one single word of truth. "Mr. Kasprowicz, On your arrival day at check-in my colleague informed you that the breakfast was not included in your reservation. Double room - room only. Even so, you said “I don’t care. Tomorrow I will have breakfast”. You arrived this morning at the breakfast area at the Inn Seventies and once again my colleague told you that breakfast was not included in your daily rate and to have that service you should pay €8,00 per day, per person. Again, you promptly said “I don’t care about it, I’m going to have breakfast because it is included in the price”. At that moment and not accepting such an attitude from your side, me the manager was forced to travel there taking with me a copy of the reservation. After showing it to you, your arrogant answer was exactly the same: “ I don’t care…” At that moment I realized that there was nothing else to do. Your intention was having breakfast during the 3 days of your stay without paying for it. Then and in view of your doubt about breakfast we proposed to issue a daily receipt for the respective breakfast that you would pay to us talking later with Hotel.com in case there is any refund, which there isn’t. It was for this reason and for the fraudulent and frustrated attempt on your part that you decided to leave the hotel. What you say about the state of your room is anger turned into a big lie. Very bad manners on your part as you did not accept the conditions for 3 times." The guest never complaint about the room. Not at check-in and not after (while staying at the property). All the pictures the guest has taken do not present nothing relevant. Only the air conditioning photo that shows the anger of Mr. Kasprowicz who rippped it off. Do not forget that this whole situation was caused by the fraudulent attitude of the guest that insisted to have breafast without paying for it when this service was not included in his reservation. Breakast was the main issue to start which seems now forgoten, not the room.

Great location but uncomfortable sleep
The location of the hotel was amazing! It was right in the city center. The room itself had a interesting smell to it that we aren’t sure if it was the water or the ac unit & the bed was springy and not comfortable so we didn’t sleep well. We wouldn’t stay here again due to the bad nights sleep.

Absolutely amazing stay... I wish I could stay longer. I had my own space in Lagos and I felt at home. I was able to do things at my pace, and my balcony was one of the best views in Lagos.

On the upside: A great spot for exploring Lagos. Our suite was nice and spacious, and had balconies right over a main intersection in the old town, so we were able to hear all the street musicians. On the downside: You need to go across the square to pick up your keys. Locals were very helpful in getting you to the right spot. During the day it was bright... when you had the drapes open. At night it was very dark, and the kitchenette had no light. Made cooking very interesting.

Very rough time consuming check in since room booked was not given, on resevation made and paid for had microwave, seperate dining area and private patio / balcony included. Owner just said mistake. Finally after getting voucher from hotel site to make up difference, paid extra cost and upgraded. Owner then stated should have paid him directly, not hotel site. After room was fine, but during the week stay only fowels, trash done, bed sheets never changed. Dont trust one hotel site’s view, look at others which give a more realistic picture of this hotel. If improvements and proper advertising by hotel is made, then it would be a very good hotel.

Great location but..
Great location, spacious room, but Old and dirty, service poor, no lift. Bathroom smelled bad. Didn't change towel or do house keeping even though it was written on their hotels.com page. If not for the location, I wouldn't recommend this property at all.

It was a very nice room with an inmejorable views of the city center and the sea. We enjoyed our stay. There is a nice kitchenette that we were able to use every morning. The room inside is nice and low average-clean, the closets are falling apart and need to be repaired. Our contract and a page at the entrance of the room stated that breakfast was served every morning for the the cost of $ 5 Euros pp, we were told that they don't do this in August. We found this misleading. The bathroom has black tiles and are dirty need to be cleaned every day. We were extremely disappointed to find out that the bathroom curtain was so super dirty and mildewed, slimy and pinky :( so gross! We took it down and reported to the staff. They installed a new one the same day. They need to pay more attention to the this matters. We payed lots of money for this place. The hallways and staircase is also dirty and dusty. The carpet in the hallway never gets to be vacuumed!! Shame. This place needs a little more attention to the cleanliness and niceness of the whole unit. Other than that we were happy with our stay. The windows have a nice view to the vibrant life of the city center, but there is a singer that sings all day long with loud speakers. We would love for him to be quiet and let us enjoy seeing the people just talking and socializing. He needs to go sing some place else or sing with no speakers please. He is really annoying. On top of that he sings in English!

We are so disappointed! I booked this hotel weeks in advance .The reservation was confirmed. I printed it. We landed after 5,30 pm at Faro, Portugal. Rented a car , put the address (from my printed reservation) in the GPS , but it took us somewhere else . We tried to call the hotel, no body picked up . With the help of strangers , we were able to find the place. The streets around the hotel are not suitable for driving by foreigners, who are there first time in their life. They are very narrow ,curvy, and some of them are dead end streets with no signs on. And the street ,the hotel is on, is a pedestrian zone. We survived, didn't smash the car, parked in prohibited place, dragged our bags and suitcases to the hotel. Walked up all 5 floors twice, because there was no any indication where the reception is and the elevator wasn't coming . We ended at the roof top bar. A man took us to the dark corner (I guess this was the reception) and told us he has given our room away, because the hotel was overbooked and he asked us to leave. He was were rude, refused to help us find another hotel or call customer service. Hi didn't take any responsibilities, he left us absolutely helpless on the street ,in the night ,in a foreign city , with no phone or any info at all. The whole experience was extremely stressful . We never ever want to hear of this hotel again and don't recommend it to anyone. Stayed September 2016

Great location, very cozy room
We could not have been happier with our choice to stay at Lagos Center Studios. The location cannot be beat, and is a walk to anywhere you would want to go. The staff was extremely pleasant and helpful, and our room was fantastic. It was facing the street/square with all the activity, but was very quiet at night. The room was nice, big, and clean, and we slept so well. I highly recommend this place, and would definitely still here again if visiting Lagos.

The quality is not good compared how much I paid in other hotels. The housekeeping is not professional; they don't change towels every day, they don't provide shower and shampoo gel unless you ask. Not worth for paying it during high peak season.

Great location. Studio is across from Inn Seventies (where you check in). Inn Seventies was a little difficult to find as Google Maps was not exact. But we found it. Room and bed was very comfortable. Large king size bed. English channels on TV. A/C worked great.

Wonderful stay
We did have a little bit problem finding the place as Lagos old town is like a maze for us. The communication with the hotel before or arrival was not easy, no one pick up the phone, but once we got there, the staffs are very friendly & helpful. The check in is very efficient and instructions are very clear. We stayed in Studio "1940" for 4 nights. It is on the 2nd floor, very spacious, bright & it was a bonus to have a balcony toward the main street. We were a bit worried that it would be noisy. To our surprise it was very alive during the day but quiet at night. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony when the sun is shinning & listening to the street music performance. The decor of the place is very nice, very bold but not over the top. Another great thing about the place is its location, it's right in the centre and few minutes to the marine. Everyday we enjoyed our walk around the old town and along the coast. All in all we loved our stay in Lagos Centre Studios, and will definitely return in the future.

Amazing central apartment.
Our apartment was amazing. It was the top floor and had beautiful views and overlooking the square. There is no elevator so you'll have to carry bags up a few flights but it didn't bother us. It felt like home, huge living area with kitchen and lounge area. Great decor. Big balcony with tables and chairs. It was a STEAL for what we paid for it for the two nights. I highly recommend this apartment, try for the top floor when booking but I'm sure the other rooms are just as nice maybe without the view and big balcony. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Thanks!
