Great stay
Pool in need of some repair & updating of showers would be good. We also received no cleaning service during the week as advertised. However, we had a great week's stay.

Lovely villa
Very happy with the villa. Bedrooms good size. Bathrooms nice. Everything very clean. Pool area was beautiful and had walk in steps and a nice shallow area perfect for children. Walk to shops/bars/restaurants fairly level and easy. Golf course within walking distance. Beach a little further away but walkable. Kitchen well equipped. Some very minor maintenance niggles but nothing to put me booking again for next May

Lovely villa in quiet location
Villa was very well furnished and equipped. Beautiful pool and garden. Located in quiet avenue in the countryside, on outskirts of town, ideal for a relaxing holiday. Would be very happy to return.

Great Property lovely pool
We had a super two week stay in Villa Alegre with our two teenage children. The property is spacious and it was lovely having three bathrooms and bedrooms, air-con was excellent. The local beach in Galé was superb and full of locals which we loved. The street that the villa is on feels very safe and the elderly lady who owns a few villas on the street is often sweeping up and checking everywhere! (She is very sweet and obviously cares.) The villa itself is very clean and the layout is great. It is a little 'tired and a bit old fashioned' but to be honest we probably couldn't have afforded to stay there if it was newly done up! We loved playing table tennis too, great for with teenagers. A car is essential and Aldi is just a couple of minutes drive down the road. Fab place to stay we'd highly recommend. Only negatives were trivial - foam mattress topper on bed was hot. Outdoor dining seating could have done with more comfortable pads to sit on. Would have appreciated a few extras to have been included like bin bags.

Fabulous
What a lovely property! Really well maintained and presented. Great pool (large), table tennis and fabulous view from the roof terrace. Owners were very responsive when we had a small problem with the fridge - it was fixed within the hour. I would highly recommend the property and we will hopefully return soon.

Sehr schöne saubere Unterkunft mit Pool
Super Pool, toller Reinigungsservice 2x pro Woche, großes Haus für 6 Personen. Nah am Strand, keine 5' mit dem Auto. Ideal für Ausflüge auf die Inseln, nach Osten und Westen der Algarve. Super gute Kommunikation mit Afonso, alle Sachen schnell und unkompliziert lösbar.

Lovely villa in great location
What a lovely villa, plenty of room for the family. Location was spot on, nice, quiet and peaceful. Everything was close to hand, great beaches and excellent restaurants.

The property is well located in a quiet residential cul de sac. It is ideal as all accommodation is situated on the ground floor, with each bedroom having its own bathroom. The kitchen contains all necessary equipment and there are plenty of glasses, plates etc. The outdoor area is well maintained and very clean with a lovely swimming pool. I would recommend the villa to others

Our objective was a quiet holiday, walking along the coast in the mornings, lounging around the pool in the afternoons. Alegre was a great home from home providing a lot of privacy with only the side of another villa (on a lower level) within view. The estate of 9 villa’s is lovely and quiet. The other Villas are like mansions. Alegre is the smallest, but can easily accommodate 6 adults. It’s bigger than the photographs show. It also has a roof terrace and lovely garden that is well maintained. I enjoyed walking down to the recycle area each evening (glass of wine in hand) admiring the properties and gardens on the way. A rental car is essential. We programmed many beach car parks from Albufeira to Lagos into the Sat Nav, which made exploring easy. It is possible to walk to the nearest beach. However, it is not a nice walk. Equally, the walk to the local shops/bars/restaurants is not great, so we choose to drive. The advantage is that so many nice and convenient places can be reached in a very short time by car including spectacular beaches, Algarve Shopping Centre, Splash Parks and Zoo Marine to name just a few. Apolonia is a good sized supermarket about 5 minutes drive that has everything you could need. Rui, his team and everyone we met in Portugal were very friendly. Even the car rental people! The communication with Rui was excellent, very fast responses. I was very comfortable that we had made a good choice after the first contact. Being able to pay through the HomeAway site also adds confidence. The villa is a mature property. The kitchen in particular is a little tired. However, it is very clean and has everything you could possibly need. The Sat TV has loads of English TV. The WiFi is strong even out by the pool. 2 cute friendly cats come around in the evenings to entertain the guests, or looking for leftover Piri Piri Chicken. Probably the latter. Top Tip; On the day of arrival, to avoid going out for dinner after a long day travelling, the Tenis Pizzeria delivers great pizza and pasta direct to the villa. I have scored the villa 5 stars. I would have scored 6 if more information leaflets for the local area and attractions were provided. Perhaps menus for local restaurants, takeaway and delivery services. The provision of charcoal for the BBQ would be a welcome gesture and a makeover for the kitchen would help. I have recommended the villa to my friends/family and hope to return very soon. The only real negative was having to leave.

Wat een prachtige plek!
We hebben genoten van het mooie huisje dat van alle gemakken is voorzien en van de mooie rustige locatie. Echt een plek om even helemaal tot rust te komen, terwijl het strand op 5 minuten rijden is en Albufeira op een kwartiertje. En de eigenaar is zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam. We komen zeker nog een keer terug!

Deze woning voldeed prima aan onze wensen.Wat een mooi plekje en wat een rust.De casa was ruim, en van alle gemakken voorzien!.Redelijk centraal gelegen en met een auto kun je alles verkennen in de omgeving.We willen zeker nog een keer terugkeren naar deze woning!

Casa muito bem idealizada. Não muito grande mas com 3 boas suites. Cozinha muito bem equipada. O exterior tem muito pouca área mas a piscina compensa: é otima Anfitriões muito simpáticos e disponíveis.

wij hebben een fantastische vakantie gehad. mede door prachtig weer maar zeker door ons plekje. De villa was zeer confortabel en was prachtig gelegen, heel rustig. De omgeving nodigde uit tot veel wandelen en het strand was op 2 km dichtbij.

Ruhig gelegene Villa in guter Umgebung
Die Villa ist geräumig mit großem Wohnzimmer, gut ausgestatteter Küche und stilvollem Mobiliar. Der Pool ist groß und kann von außen nicht eingesehen werden. Es gibt nur ein Nachbarvilla aber die hat uns nicht gestört. Ansonsten ist außenrum viel Natur und Ruhe. Auf der großen Terasse kann man herrlich faulenzen und der Grill ist perfekt. Man kann durch die Küche oder dem Wohnzimmer direkt auf die Terasse gehen. Ein ALDI ist 5min mit dem Auto entfernt und der große Galé Strand ist 10min mit dem Auto entfernt. Es gibt aber noch mehrere Strandbuchten in der Nähe. Ich würde die Villa empfehlen und auch selbst nochmal buchen.

The villa is located in a quiet street, in a residential area with 10 other villa's. It is very relaxing to stay there. Every morning I have been jogging towards the beach, wich is 2kms away. The pool area is cleaned every day, we also used the BBQ. The pool was clean en vary refreshing. The kitchen well equiped. There are 3 bedrooms each with double bed, and attached bathrooms. The Living and rooms are also equiped with AC. We can certainly recommend this house, communication with the owner is easy and responses are very fast !! Top service. We really enjoyed our holidays in Algarve, and might rent this house aagain in the future.

super fantastisk hus med en dejlig stor pool
alt var i orden en lille æv var at man bliver vækket kl 830 men græsslåmaskiner og diverse hækkeklippere med støj inferno.Vi skal være ude kl. 10.00 og der kunne de jo godt have ventet:(
