One night to see the Taj Mahal
We loved the location of this hotel. We could walk to the West Gate for getting into the Taj Mahal. You can see the Taj from their rooftop restaurant too. The masala tea was amazing, and the cheese and onion omelette was fantastic.

Good Location Is The Only Positive
If you choose to visit the Taj Mahal then this hotel is one of the closest you'll find. It's about a 700m walk to the entrance. It's on a main road, check in was quick and efficient. We paid extra for a Taj Mahal view room. The room wasn't easy to find in the dark and a hotel worker we asked for guidance from wanted a tip and we had to be quite forceful to get rid of him. The room was anything but a palace the name describes. It was old and dirty. The Taj view was just about visible from a pokey window but wasn't what we expected. The food at the rooftop restaurant was amazing but due to the time of year we were eaten alive by insects. The restaurant had no zappers or incense. The food was delicious and fresh prepared, in fact this is the only thing this hotel has going for it. We requested the bill and left a small tip, the waiter opened the bill wallet before we left and exclaimed very rudely, "oh so small!". Had I not been staying at the hotel I would have snatched the tip back and walked out. The wifi was up and down and very slow. The air conditioning unit in the room did not work and the evening temperatures were still 25+ degrees. We raised this with the hotel but nothing was done to fix it. Next morning, we were woken at 9am by porters, cleaners, more porters knocking on the door all wanting tips. Each barged into the room, despite us half clothed. I had to be quite forceful to get rid. I wouldn't recommend this hotel.

Cheap and cheerful in Agra
Unfortunate I had gone down with a bad case of Delhi Belly the day I arrived so nothing to do with this hotel but it put a downer on my experience of Agra.The hotel was fine and in an excellent location .From the roof terrace you had a good view of the taj and the red fort.as I was not eating much I cannot comment on the food but the room was comfortable. The owner and staff were great feeding me curd and banana. Cheap and cheerful hotel

Decent value, but may not get wifi or hot water
Positive: Let me check in early. Negatives: Wifi didn't work in the room; had to go outside the room to get a weak signal, or down a flight to a patio. Hot water didn't work either. No tank in the bathroom. Was later told that I could've called down to the front desk about it, but not sure if that would've worked. Overall, it was good for the money, but I'm sure some other places for just a small amount more would've been better.

Close to the Taj Mahal
The place is very close to the gate to Taj Mahal, and the staff is very kind and helpful, but I it is very far from being a 3start hotel. I am happy that we arrived at 1 am and left at 6 am, so basically spent only 5 hours there. The wall are dirty and the bathroom...a shower with no shower cabin just with a bucket in a small room with toilet and washbasin, so I don't know how we should have used it, without watering everything there (making it impossible to use the toilet after) The room was extremely cold, we asked for heating and the guy showed on the blanket... We were so cold that we skipped the shower and drank some alcohol (thanks god, we brought some with us) and tried to sleep a couple of hours before we went to Taj Mahal. We were freezing during the night. We didn't get any wifi code, so we don't have experience of their internet connection. There is no problem with such kind of accommodation, but it is definitely not a 3- star one. I would suggest only for those who would spend a few hours there before the opening of Taj mahal.

Good views of Taj but freezing room all night
We arrived at 12am and checked in before being transfered to the room. Upon entry the size of the room was good but it was cold inside. We asked one of the porters if the AC system had a heater function but he said no and offered us a spare blanket from the wardrobe. We used that but still the room was freezing and December at night in Agra is cold. It felt all night like you were sleeping outside how cold it was and we could not sleep all night turning and curling up trying to keep warm. the shower there is no curtain so water goes everywhere. Water warma only from 5am and takea 5mins to warm up. On check out the manager insisted I should have called them specifically as they have a heater I could have used. The worst thing is the manager said ok lets fine the porter £5 who never told me about the heater. I refused to accept the blame on the porter alone who may not be ttained and management know its cold and hence should put a heater. I demand a partial refund and got £5 back which is something as Indian hotels rarely ever give any refund Overall cold room,long to warm the water but evebtually hot were the negativsles. Positives include it was 5minute walk to Taj Mahal. breakfast was good. Views from rooftop in the morning not night is good with the top dome of the Taj visible. Hopefully they have learnt there lesson and heaters will be put in rooms and future guests will rest in peace and warmth.

Total Ripoff - Dont book this hotel
we spent one night at this hotel, when we reached there rooms were not ready, we had to ask for every single item that we get in other hotels without even asking. Hotel was not clean, rooms were dirty. Very noisy. Staff is ok. after spending two hours we were able to settle down. No Hot water. No Heaters and Towels had two much bad smell. It feels like we spent too much money for this bad hotel.

A disappointment
It started with a room with 2 beds instead of 4 which we payed for. The room we were finally given had no sheets, when we finally argued for sheets they were dirty. The hotel was backpakers style. No hot water, no towels and no toilet paper. For the price we paid it was terrible!

As per Expedia....the hotel was rated as 3 stars and the room rate was too high for the night ...I would rate the hotel as 1 or 2 stars...Hotel room was in bad condition...it was too small for the price being taken.. all mosquitoes in the room...outside area still under construction...breakfast quality was not upto the mark....no ventilation or window in the room.

the basics
we decided to ovenight in AGRA to have the chance see Taj during the sunset and sunrise, which was wonderfull, however the surnrise was foggy. If you are looking for the very basics from a hotel, this is the one, TV does not have english or any other language except Indian. Room was cold and there was no heating. Most of the rooms, had no windows-they were blind. No bath tab or shower. inside of the room some old ferniture very basic. They will give you toilet paper after you reach the room, asthe room it's self does not have, Internet is available with 50RS an hour down at the reception. I have ask for wifi in the room but they said only manager knows the password. Top of the hotel there is a small roof garden you may see partially the top of Taj Mahal. We had dinner , food was good but the service took long time to come, and waiters spoke limited english.Lots of Monkeys in the roof and general in most of the suroundings roofs, during the afternoon hours, at night i have not seen them.During the night hours after 11pm and untill 4am people checking in and noise was unbeleivable, impossible to sleep. the hotel was full and the guests had no respect for the other people sleeping and trying to sleep. I will avoid to stay at this hotel again, I am sure there are some other better choices than that. As i have said very very basic hotel !!!! The hotel is located about 500 feet to the west gate of TAJ.

SO - SO Hotel. Not worth the money.
it is not a 3 star Hotel. Lobby is Good But Room Quality is not Good. No hot water when there is no electricity. Felt that Staff / Management was trying to get as much financial benefit as possible from tourist.

Hotel Daawat Palace-taj mahal
We chose this hotel because of it's location, just 800 m from the Taj Mahal. We only stayed one night and we would not recomend staying there a long time. The room was extremly damp. For example we left our stuff in the room for few hours and when we came back our clothes and books were damp as well. The room was extreamly cold and when we checked out they told us that they had a heater, would have been nice to know that when we checked in.

Google mapに住所を打ち込むと異なる場所が示されるので注意が必要です。MAYAレストランの隣のホテルになります。 部屋は古いもののタージマハルが直接見えることやアメニティが充実していることなど良かったです。しかし、お湯が出ないのと、1月の冬場はものすごく部屋が寒く、毛布もありませんでした。屋上のレストランで出たカレーは旅行客にあわせてスパイスの量を調節してくれたりもします。ここのバターチキンカレーがすごくおいしかったです。ただ、クレジットが使えるといわれて利用したのに実際は使えず、現地でキャッシングする羽目になったりと迷惑もこうむりました。また、朝ごはんの提供はいつでもいいよと言われたので、6時を希望しましたが、実際には誰も従業員は起きていませんでした。早く出たかったのであまり期待はしていませんでしたが、少し残念でした。

We stayed one night in hotel Dawaat, and it was a pleasant experience! The room was clean and the bed was comfortable, and the hot water in the shower was really hot. Our room was equipped with a kettle, and teabags and instant coffee. The staff was being very helpful, and sometimes maybe even too helpful. They came and knocked on our door to make sure everything was fine at several points during our stay. The hotel was close to the Taj Mahal, but the area was quite loud. I believe it’s hard to find a quiet place in India, thought. Overall I would defenetly recommend the hotel!

タージ・マハルまで徒歩圏内です。
タージ・マハルまで、徒歩10分ほど、便利だと思います。 部屋はまあまあの広さ、シャワーのお湯はタイミング次第でした。 レセプションのスタッフも親切。夜22:00頃、翌早朝にケオラデオ国立公園にいくことを決定しましたが、タクシー往復チャーターの交渉もスムーズにしてくれました。あくまで参考までですが、往復約3時間、全体で約8時間拘束で2500 Rs でした。

Excelente localização, bem próximo ao Taj Mahal, fomos a pé. O restaurante q não era bom, mas os atendentes eram ótimos. O nosso maior problema foi o chuveiro quente, q tínhamos q solicitar antes do banho e aguardar uns 15 à 20min.

Tusen och en natt
Reste med en grupp på 18 pers och vi fick en och ½ våning för oss själva. Fick brasa på taket och mat där. Tre rum var bättre än resten men alla rum var bra. Tog lång tid med frukosten eftersom vi var så många.
