I stayed a week in February and had an amazing time. The hotel staff were super attentive, gave excellent service. They were kind, courteous and went out of there way to make my stay a very pleasant one. The hotel is located on a quiet side road off the busy Oxford street. Everything you need you can find on Oxford street. There is no longer a jacuzzi but you have access to nice pool no more than a 60 second walk. Breakfast was great, great selection of choices that changed daily. Rooftop bar was lovely, great service and drinks at a decent prices. Special thanks to the management team, they really made my stay top tier. I highly recommend staying here!

The hotel was very clean. The staff was friendly. It is in a great location to restaurants. The pool was only a one minute walk away.

Unfortunately, I won't be able to stay at this hotel anymore. I’ve stayed 3 times and was pleased until the pass time. I left an item in the room when I checked out. I called hours after I checked out and 2 other days to ensure they had the item and i could pick it up before i left Ghana. After multiple calls and having 3 different people telling me they would call me back to confirm they have the item, I received no call. It's not professional to continue to tell a customer that you will call them back and don't. As well, everytime i called and got a new person, no one knew what i was talking about and had to explain all over again. Without getting confirmation they had the item I did not return to the hotel. Still no word from them. I can't trust to stay at a hotel that will take your things if you leave it in a room and will not return calls when you do have an issue. I will take my business elsewhere.

Loved the location. Very central to Osu shops and restaurants. The 7th floor views were nice at the breakfast area. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Not bad but can be noisy at night-early morning
Our stay here was decent, the facilities are okay and the rooms are okay. I found it a tad bit noisy as it is located in the heart of the city and there are multiple nightclubs and restaurants beside it. The staff were also not as responsive as i'd have expected but overall, not a bad stay.

If you are staying in Accra, this is the place to stay. The staff is super helpful and friendly, the hotel is well maintained and clean, the rooms are modern and nice and have everything you need and the location is perfect (close to the airport and all the places you might need.) Excellent staff and service. My only recommendation is that the internet connect was unreliable and difficult to maintain. More upgrading is needed if we are to use this hotel in the future for business needs.

It's beautifully decorated, the staff is extremely helpful, and it's very well positioned for banks and restaurants. I've never been to Ghana before and it was a very comfortable way to figure out the lay of Accra. Also, a rooftop bar.

Room size was ok for purpose. First apartment given was noisy, could hear all the talking and shouting from street. There was a party in the next apartment the first weekend we were there which went on till early hours of the morning. Avery noisy floor.

Nice little place
Rooms where what USA clients usually get in a hotel. Please know the exchange rate because unfortunately some people will try to cheat u of your money. It was our best second place to stay outside of the hotel. Last thing, power washing of the bathroom floor will make this better

Problems checking in. Was given an inferior room to the one I’d booked. Some of the electrical points didn’t work. And the fittings in the bathroom kept falling off the wall. Couldn’t access the WiFi anywhere in the hotel other than in my room. The gym was incredibly airless and not all the machines worked. The service for food was so slow I forgot I’d ordered and refused the meal on the grounds it took so long. Even when I hung out the door sign asking for them to clean the room it was not always cleaned even though they obviously had cleaned the room opposite. Had to ask the desk to have my room cleaned. TV reception almost zero so don’t go there expecting to watch any. And most annoying for some one who is not a football fan is that in the public areas all you could see were football games. Actual tourist footage of Ghana would have been nice or even the local news. The roof terrace with jacuzzi was only available after 3pm. No use at all to anyone wanting to catch some morning sun. And yet again only football on the large screen.

The manager knows how to earn her hotel some money
We did not like our initial room on the 1st floor & we tried to leave to a different hotel, but the manager made it right !!! She made sure that we spent all of our time in Accra at the Roots Hotel by moving us into the spectacular Pent House Suite.
