Family home but it's not home from home. Needs tweaks
First impressions, nice inner hallway and to the roomy kitchen diner. Lovely big kitchen, dining table and bay window seating. Nice outdoor space for sunny evenings
Essentially the advert tells of 4 floors but only 3 are used. But then it's still fine for up to 6 staying which we had.
However there are issues that really had ought to be addressed to suit a large family and to name some ..the lack of everyday essentials was appalling and constant washing up was required. 12 place dishwasher was massive compared to the quantity of stuff to go in. One tea towel for the whole week, no oven gloves and only 1 dishwasher tablet. Lots of glasses though so great for a party I guess.
The lower black painted stairs were unlit and made some steps at bathroom level trip hazard. Tended to leave the hallway light on at night to help. All bathrooms had no locks and you can see showerers via clear glass edges of the door from the landing or sitting room. The basin taps are wrong way around but fortunately the water doesn't scald.
The ensuite, not so plush, has a concertina door that needs an inside knob to save being locked in when the door is closed
We had one issue with the shower drain being blocked from the start. We were promised a next day sort out but I got a bottle of stuff and sorted it. Good job as the cleaner came 3 days later.
On the whole a lovely place and great location but let down by not being home from home.
BTW No information book meant total guesswork too!
