Stay at breakfast let the score down, as we’d not pre-booked we felt to be an inconvenience to the staff team and asked to stand back while other guest were dealt with. After waiting, having a credit machine thrust at us we were then ‘permitted’ to sit at the table we were standing beside, it spoiled an otherwise great experience. Other staff, the room, swimming pool were great."

"On arrival at Waterside Hotel, found the car park was mostly filled with work vans, so wondered if it was the right choice for a couple, but on entering we found the staff friendly and helpful, the room was basic but clean, the TV was set on the dressing table blocking the mirror. Breakfast in the morning was really good, with a great choice and tasty well cooked hot food and good speedy service, so good value overall."

"This review is fairly irrelevant as it closed for good a few days after we left. I felt sorry for the staff as they were given very little notice. The bar and restaurant were closed during my stay but they did honour the breakfasts that we booked "
