"The room is large and comfortable, the bathroom is also a great size. All of the hotel staff were helpful, obliging and professional at all times. The bed was very comfortable and easy to sleep there. The location is ideal as it is a short walk to the main railway station, cafes, restaurants and the main streets. I did not eat in the restaurant but used the bar which was excellent with a very helful bar person. The only concern I had was that the bar closed at 10pm and would not stay open for residents."

"Fantastic hotel that delights amazing history and immaculate conditions. Brilliantly run. Dinner in the restaurant and breakfast were both excellent. Great value for money. There are very few independent hotels that reach this standard. It was that good. "
