We anticipated a king bed, as advertised, and found a queen bed in our room. The room had not been cleaned properly prior to our arrival not did it receive any attention during our stay. Pillow cases were not available, the floors were sticky. Linens were sparse and there were no tissues in the BR. The two person jacuzzi was very nice.
Breakfast was adequate but not anything special. Condiments were served in plastic cups. Cereal over yogurt was described as "granola,"
We have been pampared in other lovely B&Bs and did not share the same feeling here. This was an anniversary trip so the disappointment was felt even more.
We booked in for a night travelling along the Skyline Drive with two kids. There were some nice walks starting from the lodge with deer walking all around. Our room was basic, but comfortable. We were very worried about dinner as the only option is the restaurant at the lodge, anywhere near. There are some very damning reviews on Tripadvisor. We didn't need to worry however. We did choose the straightforward chicken option but there was no fault with it. Similarly, breakfast was very nice. The hall in the lodge was great, too with rocking chairs looking out on the forest, games, etc.
