Only stayed for one night, but have no complaints. Food was fine, the room was fine, and the service was fine. Its a little far to walk to downtown for me, but it is possible. All in all, a descent hotel.
This hotel is good but left to rot left uncared for. Lamp sheds are very very dirty never been cleaned in decades of years. Do serious cleaning on this hotel please. The bathrooms are just full of dirty. You should charge $20-------$30/night B&B for current condition of hotel I feel cheated maybe a refund as your photos were deceiving
"Relaxing Pleasant Hotel Great surrounding gardens"
The Sirona hotel in Nairobi was the hotel I chose to stay at from arriving in Kenya airport.
It proved to be a great place to stay.
Its situated in the outskirts so it was peaceful in the gardens to relax. Great bar an outside seating . Very nice staff . Great room cleaning and fast laundry service. Food is very good (especially samosas,+ top Chinese restaurant very nearby). Wifi was of high speed. All the staff seemed very polite and helpful. Overall a very good, not expensive, commendable place to stay, It will be my first choice when I am next in Nairobi .
"Location next to a "Matatu" terminal so is noisy"
The Hotel was clean with good food and handy in that it has a bar and restaurant in the same premises, with Pool table and dancing floor.
The staff could be a lot more customer friendly.
I had booked on-line a standard double room. When I arrived the receptionist the standard double room is two single beds. And not a single double bed.
We argued for over 20 minutes and would not change me to my request, unless I paid more.
Not a good first impression to me.
The instant over head shower heater is not very effective. So it was almost like washing with cold water. A shivering experience for myself coming from West Africa and not used to the chilly Nairobi weather.
The restaurant staff were abrupt and showed little courtesy. Everyday, they had to refer to the reception to see if I was entitled to complimentary breakfast.
I had to resort to breakfast in my room at an extra KSh100, to avoid this for one week. Even this, the breakfast was coming 30 minutes late. Just forcing me t9 rush for my other appointments.
I've stayed here twice now, both times just stopping overnight in Nairobi, and would do again. It's not too far from the airport, and even at $90 per night it's more reasonably priced than many Nairobi hotels. The rooms are small, but comfortable, and there's a nice restaurant with western and African options. I was quite excited to get Weetabix for breakfast. Major drawback was the noise -- bring earplugs or ask for a room away from the road.
